Donald Trump laid out his legal arguments at the Supreme Court for why he should remain on the 2024 ballot, urging the court to “put a swift and decisive end” to lawsuits that say he is ineligible to serve as president because of his efforts to cling to power after he lost the 2020 election.

The challenges to his eligibility “threaten to disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans” and “promise to unleash chaos and bedlam” around the nation if they proceed, Trump’s lawyers wrote in a legal brief submitted Thursday evening.

Trump's new legal strategy: threatening SCOTUS.

I thought the MAGA were peaceful people, who would respect the decisions of the courts without causing trouble or riots.

    Trump says no.

Can MAGA of this forum reassure me?

    Trump loves chaos.

He’s trying to threaten everyone with it, except his disciples.

Not me. Disenfranchising millions will lead to a violent reaction.

Is that what you’ll say when he wants a third term?

    It absolutely will.

Fascism needs to cause chaos. You dont get to be a left wing fascist and think the right is going to sit back and allow it.

The lefts irrational hatred of choosing party over country is going to destroy us. But if thats how it has it be then so be it. Either our country holds up its ideals and allows Trump a fair chance or what happens next is just the natural progression of things...perhaps the US is genuinely a failed experiment.

Either way, we will see soon enough.

Don't know. Will have to check the sentiment if and when that happens.

    Will it?

Fascism needs to cause chaos. You don't get to be a right wing fascist and think the left is going to sit back and not allow the courts to do what they are supposed to.

The right's irrational hatred of choosing party over country is going to destroy them. But, it that's how it has to be, then so be it. Either or country holds up to the rule of law if they rule Trump off the ballot or what happens next is proof of how far off the rails the right has gone.

The ruling can't happen soon enough.

It looks like Jan uprising served him well. He can now use the threat of chaos to get his way and his followers will support him with more violence and chaos. All he has to do is cry victim and his defenders will fight for him(literally)
A segment of the MAGA gang is wiling to do violence for Trump. They have no problem threatening legal peple when they believe T is being victimized ( as he claims he is ) His claim is either delusional or a manipulative tactic playing on his followers sympathy. He does play them like a violin.

WHAT chaos?? The one that HE creates. And we know why. Once the nation gets chaotic and the law is no longer effective............it it becomes ripe and ready for a dictator to take control and" restore "stability" on the dictators terms.

This is one or the few times I think trump is mostly right. Can’t be this easy to take someone off the ballot. Sure it’s justified with trump, but without any checks on this, it’s ripe for partisan abuse.

Except they won’t be disenfranchised. They will still be able to vote…but not for anyone who is discovered to be under the age of 35 or who wasn’t natural born…

Oh…and anyone who supported an insurrection…

But it’s fine to vote for anyone else.

You can project all you want. But what I said stands, and is true. If you wish to support left wing fascism, willingly or unwittingly, that is your choice.

You see, “disenfranchisement “ is the process of denying you the act of voting, not the limiting of your voting choices…

An example: You might really, really want to vote for AOC for president in the upcoming election. But, my understanding is that she is too young to take office this time round. So, you will be denied the opportunity to vote for her, due to the restrictions in the Constitution. This is NOT, however, a “disenfranchisement”, in that you will still be free to vote for any eligible candidate…

The left went insane, rioted, looted, burned, assaulted and murdered all throughout the summer of love because a single career criminal met his maker due to his own actions and the VP raised money to bail them out . Yet to the same left, people getting upset over being denied democracy seems to bother them.

Would you complain you were disenfranchised if Humpty was impeached and convicted by Congress for insurrection?
