Many losing candidates try to overturn elections. It is why we see recounts somewhere every election cycle. Remember hanging chads? My interpretation of the facts is that Trump's method was to try to delay the election for investigation. It didn't work any better than any of the other attempts to overturn. The difference is that Trump is hated so much that you and others want to punish him judicially for this common practice. Politics is truly humanity at its worst.

I don't see how any honest, thinking person could call any kind of recount "overturning," but if that's your chosen word for it, go right ahead. The fact is that when you do a recount all you are doing is trying to verify the true result. With the hanging chads, that was particularly important because mechanical issues had erased some votes. Those votes should have been counted. That is worlds away from what Trump was pushing for, and I supported Trump's recounts just as I did Gore's.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Bragg's office "leaked" the idea that Trump was going to be arrested...all the while knowing that he was not....simply to watch Trump completely melt down like he has?

 

Whether Trump gets convicted and heads to jail remains to be seen. I don't know if Trump thinks that he is going to beat the rap on this but He should go to jail for this. Trump ought to be barred from running for President again. He had his chance and failed the people for it.
