Of course you would use models. Unlike the host of jackasses who think that models are worthless, I have no problem with your quoting a model. Please find me one if you think it exists.

And no, I am not applauding the exponential increase in US cases. I am a ****ing American and I weep for the dead and sick that could have been avoided.

    Never imply otherwise.

I go by the context of your posts.. Simple... You dont order me buddy.

Same "models" that called for millions of cases here? No thanks.. And yes many models are worthless.

Models are only good as far as the data is accurate.

I don't give a **** whether you think the model is good or worthless. I will judge it for myself. If you know of one that attempts to quantify the benefit from Trump's partial travel restriction - let me know. I have yet to see anyone try.

    I think you are correct.

Other than 9/11 perhaps the country has not been mobilized and united like it is now. But 9/11 did not see this level nor this length of response.

It’s sad to see some still on their Trump Rage campaign even at a time where it’s so out of place.

What is ironic is that by blowing this thing well out of proportion and then blaming Trump for damn near all of it they have set him up to win big in November as we exit this C19 crisis and life returns to normal. Trump will get the credit for that return, and his approval rating will shoot up just in time for the election.

Poor left, he beats them at every turn. His arrogance is hard to stomach for me personally, but it’s warranted when talking about how he fares in his battles with the left. He just owns them.

And he has wormed his way into their brains, he can blink and they go into a rage. That’s the influence he has on them. Amazing to see.

It’s called optimism. Part of being a leader.

There were four cases in the United States and one death...the Obama/Biden and their DNC operative are responsible for bringing the deadly virus to the United States.

Models...I’ve seen 100s and 100s over the years be just dead wrong during hurricanes. And hurricanes paths are much easier to predict than this based just on the human factor involved.

I guess we'll see if it's optimism or recklessness. I don't think anyone has ever mistaken trump for a leader.

True on a lot of points. The President has clearly demostrated he is a leader, and at the same time a lot of the country...those that might have voted for a Biden, are greatly turned off by the Dems attempts to blame the President for the virus, and also use the massive responds to try and extort money for their radical leftist agenda. The DNC really may have damaged itself beyond repair

60% approval rating from Americans on how he is leading the country during this.

People will judge him how they will, and many have their opinion of him and that will not change regardless of what he does. At the end of this he will either have been viewed to have been a good leader during this time and will win re-election or the opposite will occur.

C19 vastly changes this election cycle in so many ways that what we were debating just a month ago regarding it is almost irrelevant now. This will be the C19 elections in November, and fair or not it appears like it is lining up time wise to re-elect Trump.

Trump has sounded a lot more presidential than ever before. Tone of voice, volume of voice etc, all those little things that make up “appearance” he has improved on. I’ve never like his brashness myself, but I’ve seen it dissipate the last two weeks. If he keeps himself inline with that then alot of undecided and moderates will support him in Nov.

I do think Pelosi blundered big again. Trying to pack the stimulus package with her pet projects that had zero to do with C19 and delaying it angered a bunch of people that are in need now. And alot of those might just not vote Dem because of it.

Telling people to go a parade in Chinatown on FEBRUARY 9th! or else YER RACIST! and now he's giving Trump crap for not taking COVID seriously enough in January.

There's a lot of this "crystal clear hindsight" going around.

I think if you are worried you should remain in place until you feel it is safe to leave your house. Understand the internet is full of poison and television media is full of ****, newspapers no longer exist, you may consider reading something like Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, The Way the World Works by Jude Wanniski , and Wealth and Poverty by George Gilder.

    Thanks for the literary suggestions.

I have already read All 3.

Anyway, I still stand by my position that any suggestion of "being open by Easter" is a Horrible Suggestion (and Trump is not to be taken seriously).

Somebody (apparently) talked some SENSE into Trump.

He extended the Guidelines until April 30th.

    Just as everybody expected.

Trump was DREAMING about Easter. Lmao.
