Apparently you just cannot get past a strawman argument. The point was that Pence had a basis to demonstrate loyalty to Trump. The fact that he could have cited the opinion of high powered lawyers provided that basis.

Loyalty to Trump > defending the constitution.

    Got it.

Ignoring the rhetorical aspect of your question, I was a lefty as a college student. However, my beliefs shifted once I started paying taxes and getting more real world experience. To put it another way I learned that there is no free stuff and when the government promises free stuff the middle class pays for it. I am not a huge fan of the big spending, big debt, big government Trump, but at least he is not a closet commie like Biden, i.e., the lesser of two evils. The crazy train is the false dichotomy of the two party system.

The Constitution does not sanction vote fraud.

I suppose, to prove he respects the office and all it represents. That it is bigger than himself. Perhaps to show he is a man of honor and respect. Too much to ask, I know.

I guess that means he will not be leaving a note in the oval office for Biden either. I have really enjoyed those notes in the past. I have found them inspirational and a great testament to American democracy. I think in time, those notes may have greater significance to future generations.

Pence DID NOT have that "Power" (and Everybody Knows That).

    Get real.

    IF such "power" existed...

THEN, why didn't VPs Nixon, Humphrey, Mondale, Gore, Biden, Etc...just "Pick Different Electors"?

That entire Ludicrously Misguided "Talking Point" has been Shot Down 1000000x already.

It is actually hard to imagine (that after weeks of that BS "talking point" being shot down) that anybody would even reference such an Egregiously Misguided Narrative.

    Give me a break.:bored:

I doubt Trump will ever be able to get the donations as he did before except for the remaining yahoos that are suckered by him, certainly no big time contributions will go his way.

Because it all goes back to these people treating the Constitution as some divine document infallible in it's word and has "hidden" laws that always just so happen to support the next crackpot right wing talking point. In reality its a very flawed document and quite outdated in many ways.

Jan. 6th has come and gone. It is time to Get Over It.

Biden WON Fair and Square. Period.

If you want to "debate" this further, here is a Section where you are free to start a separate thread:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?forums/conspiracy-theories.63/

And, back to the OP Topic, I am in favor of Trump's Decision.

It will get him out of town earlier, and Trump is completely unworthy of joining the other Former Presidents on the platform.

    Awwww diddums Trump.
You and all the morons that voted for you can suck their thumbs and dream up other ways to display racism.
Get those half naked Proud Boys to dress up and prance around bare chested whilst they caress each others weapons, as your alternative viewing on Patriot TV.

Luckily none happened on a scale large enough to change anything. Your wanted theft of the election is noted however

You are under some delusion that the oath of office includes an oath to the president.

The only way he could show loyalty to Trump was by violating his oath. He chose to be honorable. I'm very sad that it hurts your feelings.

Pence chose loyalty to the Constitution rather than the orange ********.

    Cry me a river.

Pence's sworn loyalty is to the Constitution, not the President. Simple test...if he'd violated the Constitution, Trump would have fired him. He can't.

but traitor trump desperately wanted him to do anything it took to accomplish the goal, he chose to preserve the tatters of his political career at the last second by following procedure only to be excoriated by tt while still in protective custody in the Capitol bunker waiting for clear.
this week has been comedy gold lol SNL better be in hyperdrive if they expect to compete.
