That's deep. It really calls into question what awareness is. Is it just acknowledging, or is it discernment? Is it based on a physical reality or merely a mental reality? I'm not ready to give up that it can't be understood, but we still have a ways to go for that.

If we act as if something is true, then regardless of, if it is, true is pointless. Action is reality, regardless of justification. I don't think that truth is so mysterious when you hold it to the same standards as we do to everything else.

The standards we hold things to aren't absolute, truth is absolute so that isn't good enough.

The Mind is a trinity of thoughts from the Conscious mind, the Subconscious mind, and the Unconscious mind.

We have always believed our Conscious mind is in control.
We believed our lives depend upon what we consciously think and decide.

But the truth seems to be that we are guided and used by a third eye kind of supervision of a Collective Unconscious mind over us all.
Our Unconscious mind is genetically reproduced at our birth.
It adds to the others already here.

Together and separately, this aspect of our thinking controls our decisions, and is leading us somewhere,... together.

Over the past two decades of neurological research, it has become increasingly clear that the way we experience the world--our perception, behavior, memory, and social judgment--is largely driven by the mind's subliminal processes and not by the conscious ones, as we have long believed. As in the bestselling The Drunkard’s Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives, Leonard Mlodinow employs his signature concise, accessible explanations of the most obscure scientific subjects to unravel the complexities of the subliminal mind. In the process he shows the many ways it influences how we misperceive our relationships with family, friends, and business associates; how we misunderstand the reasons for our investment decisions; and how we misremember important events--along the way, changing our view of ourselves and the world around us.

Awareness is the State of Fear set into action with the purpose of "deciding" whether to Fight or Flee.

For man, this State-of-Mind has become 24 hours, 7 days a week, as we realize we have much to fear, and need be consciously active.
We know that knowledge is the tools to making right decisions.
So we study and learn and investigate.

But we forget that our Awareness in the one State-of-Mind, Fear, is NOT itself the definition of Thinking, but merely this one aspect of it.

Conscious Mind is a State of Fear.
We have become blind to the other factors at work,... like the now Unconscious Mind and the better understood Subconscious Mind, since the days of Freud.

Sentience is differentiated from thought or intelligence. It is a state of feeling or awareness. If something responds to its environment it can be said to be sentient. Observation of such reactions is a simple valid test of sentience.

Observations of such reactions can also be tainted by the observers own sentience (feeling or awareness).

Perhaps Zeus is merely a name given to a particular being who interacted with humans in the past who had technology far beyond what was available back then.

Even Richard Dawkins Ph. D. would not dogmatically rule out the idea of an alien civilization developing previous to ours and playing a role in human history and/or evolution.

    Richard Dawkins: Aliens Seeded Earth?

Dr. Steven Greer has an excellent theory on why the governments of this world would not want the truth on this topic known. If we commonly knew that UFO's had technology superior to ours a great deal of pressure would come on government to develop something much better than the internal combustion engine.

There is a saying that the human mind perhaps acts like a reducer in that it shields us from the off the scale input that is available and can be accessed more simply than we might tend to imagine.
