To be honest with you, I'd be disappointed if Fox shut down.

The network has radicalized you MAGA's so much that it's driven every moderate voter in the country away from the GOP.

It's ironic, but Fox has played a big role in the decline of conservatism.

Yes you can if it can be proven that he promoted misinformation. Don’t forget Fox is an international company and Tucker was seen beyond America, admittedly mostly as pure comedy but….

I hope you live to see the day that you get the one party rule you so seemingly desire.

And I hope you live to regret that day and remember people like me that warned you that one party rule is no good

Cognitive bias. You point out ONE lie/error/ misrepresentation and use it to claim a mass pandemic

there was misinformation from everyone, about everything having to do with covid during the worse of it. sure you can sue for every little thing but that doesn't mean its going anywhere. Also even if they did pull it off with their 2 tier system, it wouldn't be on tucker, it would be on FOX. anyway, it isn't a covid thread so nothing more to say, peace

It is about impact. You could say the same about the Dominion lawsuit, but they still got 3/4 of a BILLION payout

They would have to prove cause and effect. THAT is the real impact of the Dominion lawsuit - they proved cause and effect.

The commentators on CNN or MSNBC are probably all lying a little, but their lies are worth far less than $787 million.

I read in WaPo that one theory is that maybe the Murdoch's might want to sell Fox News. It's quite possible when you consider how many media companies they own.

Was there any doubt that the multimillionaire that is hugely popular would land on his feet?

If Murdoch wants to sell Fox, he'll get much less than it was worth six months ago.

Fox is a toxic asset as long as the Smartmatics lawsuit is not settled.

    Defamation.

No. It’s not a common practice in the media.

It’s likely Carlson violated the terms of his contract as viewed by Fox. We’ll know soon enough (if Carlson files suit) but, they definitely viewed him as a liability.

There’s another way to deal with Biden’s global destructive policies, it’s just that he has an insurance policy that’s bullet proof. It’s the same incompetent insurance policy that called him a racist.,

I know that the demise of Fox would please you greatly. Then the only news could be broadcast by “Pravda.” I guess if you are an authoritarian, you will be pleased, but democracy would be dead.

Why are you so afraid of a free exchange of news reporting and ideas? I don’t care for the main stream news media and its coverage, but I am not rooting for its demise.

Except that if Fox goes bankrupt, it's because the network relayed a lie that endangered democracy.

    Don't you find it ironic?

Yes, it's part true, Blackrock does indeed have ownership but it is irrelevant because the ownership of Dominion Energy shares is totally irrelevant to the case in hand. Of course saying that Blackrock has no ownership of Dominion Voting Systems, a totally unrelated company, would be far more relevant to the subject and makes the statement that Blackrock sued itself untrue.

I am not a big Tucker Carson fan. He is a like Drew Pearson from my father’s time. He uncovers some stuff that needs to be reported. But he can also go off half cocked and make some unfounded observations. Overall what he does is healthy in a democracy. A free flow of ideas is necessary to maintain freedom.

Carson costs Fox Network a bundle of money because of his claims about voter machine malfunctions That’s what got him fired. He was one more part of them foolish and endless Trump whining about the 2020 election results. Trump was justified in questioning them, but but the end of November, he should have seen that his cause was hopeless. He should have ended it there, but he didn’t. That is they problem with Carlson and Trump.

I hope you appreciate the irony of your comment as much as I do. Need it explained? Didn't FOX just get sued for lying? Frankly I couldn't care less if CNN, MSNBC, FOX, etc all folded. I have no use for partisan politics. Clearly many still do ;)

    Really?

Supporting authoritarian regimes is good for democracy?

What about racism, sexism, homophobia... and supporting on-air false theories about stolen elections that he doesn't even believe in himself?

Carlson is a parasite who has brought out the most vile in his listeners.

Which proves that any means is good for ratings.

But one day, you have to pay for all your lies.
