Tucker Carlson starts to divulge the Capitol video tapes

I have no way of knowing, since I am only allowed to see what is released, which is exactly the point. Did the committee view all instances and the situation in full, or were they only presented the video that made the desired case and achieved the desired outcome?

I can take any fragment of video of an entire situation and edit it to provide the viewer's reaction I want. That's the point. You're ok with that? Your ok with what equates to propagandizing information to serve a purpose?

Be careful what you wish for, the control may switch at some point. The hands of mis-information may just present the data and selective information to gain the desired outcome and perception of the viewer.

Um...I am pretty sure the person in the video went to jail. It was absolutely a trial.

Based on what I am seeing, and the defense of it, it would appear many untrustworthy people exist including those that are steering the ship.

It's fun that literally 4 sentences ago, you defended selective release of 41,000 hours of video in the investigation, then turn right around and claim that Tucker is untrustworthy for literally the exact same thing.

I did what I said should be uncalled for, by starting to watch, the program you posted, assuming that you had been using it for your Epps claim, because that was the first clip shown; also, Tucker said at the outset, they were about to show that clip. After a LOT of Putzker's meaningless jawboning, the first clip is finally played, 12 minutes into the tape-- and it is not the Epps segment, which is the subject of your post. So either give a minute mark, in the tape, for the info that specifically speaks to your post's contentions, or we can just write this off as another of your threads, such as the one about the Twitter files, that is almost all sizzle, with little if any actual steak.

 

I watched a little-- under false pretenses-- and the first commercial break seemed a little bit long, but it would depend on how many breaks there are; fewer breaks, mean longer ones.

Straw man B.S. You have no justification for charging that the clips, chosen by the Committee, in any way misrepresented the situation. In fact, based simply on all of that footage shown-- and many hours of it have been made available-- it is ludicrous to contend that the parts not shown, before and after, would recast the entire event. How about I essentially put your claim to a test: I pick 10 clips, and you just speculate scenarios, that would change the overall complexion of the day-- do you accept the challenge?


Also, remember, many of us saw this unfold live, on camera-- or were Dems editing that film, in real time?


Also, the tapes we saw in the hearings, are consistent with the 140 injured officers, IIRC, we know about, which resulted (or is all that, more conspiracy?).


Also, J6 defendants, have pled guilty-- a strange thing, if nothing like a riot had occurred.

 

This proves that Tucker is not giving a "fair & balanced" revision, unless-- besides this pacific image of Sicknick, did they also show the one of him being beaten? If not, it's hard to imagine what you think this possibly proves. The J6 Committee never claimed that he died at the scene.

 

You are talking about footage shown at trial? Why is this, the first that I'm hearing of it? I have been speaking of the J6 Committee presentation, generally, & assumed you were as well (supported by your addressing that subject, earlier in this same reply). So to whose trial, are you specifically referring?

Both of you are pedalling a patently false argument. Since you are going to play this act (as we will call it) of being this oblivious to the obvious, I will try to present it at a graspable level, for you both.

It is a far easier thing, to find a moment when a criminal is not committing a crime, than to find a moment which justifies a crime, which we have on tape. The only excuse which immediately springs to mind, are in cases of self-defense. Is that your suggestion here, for the literally hundreds we have on tape, committing violent, criminal acts: that they were all defending themselves against provocations, which all had been edited out of the footage?

 

You, like most on the left, clearly don't see the irony of your defense of the manipulated video and then subsequent criticizing.
