Turns out Miss Ukraine did not take up arms for her country

This was fact checked and proven false. She just posed in a picture with some kind of air gun and by her own statement did not join the Ukrainian military or go to the front lines. My problem with this is that the fact checkers labeled this as Facebook/Twitter post misinformation, but completely forgot to reveal that ABC Good Morning America reported it, apparently either intentionally or unintentionally failing to research it to find out if it was true. We've got to start looking at where we get our news, folks.

Also pointing out that rather than "Russian disinformation" this was most probably "Ukraine disinformation".

The Bush administration did this plenty with the Jessica Lynch story. She was knocked unconscious when her vehicle crashed in an ambush. They lied that she was firing her M16 until empty. Had she done that she would have likely been killed.
