In my humble opinion, China will attack before the 2024 election. As long as Biden is in the WH, we get weaker and weaker. But when his replacement is named we can only get stronger and China must attack. We won't be that weak again for years... if ever.

 

Russia's death toll continues to climb as they "maneuver". It is why they are spending a fortune trying to refortify their rear positions for when they run out of kids to sacrifice "maneuvering". They know eventually their front will collapse (yet again). In the mean time, the US is really really good at making weapons. We keep those businesses operating in times of peace and times of war just so we are always ready. Hell, we aren't even sending them much of our best stuff and Russia is bogged down against it. We are just sending Vietnam War era armor and crap to get it off the books.

 

Let's be clear here, I don't like Biden. And I don't think Putin rolls into Ukraine with Trump in office. That being said Biden's handled this surprisingly well. Ukraine does most of the heavy lifting as they should because it's their rightful land so they should be the ones defending it, and we get to minimize the Russian army and possibly oust Putin for a mere 6 percent of the defense budget. He's handled this exactly as he should.

Viet Nam era armor? Huh? In Viet Nam we used M60 tanks and 113 APC's. Now we use M1 tanks and M2/3 Bradleys... which is what we are giving Ukraine. (The first class of Ukrainians trained to us Bradleys graduated in Hohenfels, Germany this week. The "HIMARS" we hear so much about is abit watered down though... same round as ATACMS but designed to fit on Ukrainian vehicles so fewer ready rounds and less of the bells and whistles for fire control. STINGER RMP and PATRIOT PAC-3 are state-of-the-art too.

 

In my humble opinion, this whole Russian effort is about weakening us in preparation for the invasion of Taiwan. That's why Russia is losing so badly. It's intentional to use up our war stocks... which can't be replaced overnight. Then Russia and China become the strongest international team in history.

 

It's two completely different aspects of military here. With Ukraine, we are hands off. We are just offering them equipment and intelligence. For Taiwan we would be much more involved directly. You would see our aircraft carriers and fighters in play. Taiwan would handle all the ground defence.

UN security council says no no no . then we don't go into Iraq .. as that would be violating the rule.. .. just as there was no defense for Nato Annexing Kosovo.. Either you have SC approval .. or you do not... Rule Number 1 ..

You understand now .. Rule#1 .. If security council says you not steal land from sovereign nation .. not go to war against said nation .. then not doing u .. or be a violator .. matters not what your excuse is.

Smart advice would have been to follow the rules.. Not help Saddam with Chemical Weapons .. not aid the Genocide of East Timore .. the War Crimes in Guatemala - El Salvador .. Nicaragua . then Iraq Again .. Libya .. the worst atrocity so far this decade .. Syria .. and lest we forget Yemen .. and Damn Palestine barely an after thought in the list so long .. barely you get chance to complain in the Partisan vein.

So now you want the world to cry boo hoo .. disrupt their economies .. and take notice of a minor skirmish in eastern Europe .. backward nation perhaps not unlike in Central America in ways ..

Guess Ukraine should have been a better neighbor .. chosen its friends more care-full .. treated its minorities better .. specially the Russian minorities .. not subjected them to the brutal Azov Nazi .. Nato poke the bear one too many time ... US the main culprit .. .. now Europe sorry .. suffering the consequences of NATO expansion and aggresion towards mother Russia .. In Germany the energy cost is brutally devistating the economy and the population ... USA reaping the rewards .. Now we find out was Biden blew up that line and even if you don't believe it .. the Europeans Do .. Just to educate you, the only country that calls it taiwan is the US. It IS the Republic of China. Hear that again? The official name of 'taiwan' is The Republic of China. As to mainland China (hence the 'mainland' reference), it is The People's Republic of China. So just to clear it up, it's already ****ing China. The 'reunification' is political, got it? No need to invade China by... China. Nothing to take.

Seems yer crystal a bit off --- Death toll about equal .. Russia putting criminals and islamist extremists as fodder .. Ukraine the green teens to the meat grinder are sent .. to the trenches to await the Ground and Pound -- Russia a 10-1 artillery advantage .. plenty of ammo ..position dug in . supply line - just fine.

Over in the US -- who is fine at weapons .. just not fast enough .. Ukraine plowing through ammo at a rate far greater than NATO can produce.. we can ramp up production be good to go 2 years from now .. should the war still be going.

and we sent some rather nice stuff . was a good test of some of the more modern tech ..best one so far .. Drones very impressive -- different counter measures .. one is an old aa gun that they were going to stop producing ammo .. turned out to be a great drone killer
