    Why do you suppose that 20 years constitutes a "long term trend" when the Earth is at least 6,000 years old (by "young Earth" terms) or at least 4.5 billion years old (by "old Earth" terms)?

    What about the other 5,980 years?
    What about the other 4,499,999,980 years?

    Scientists have done that using core soil samples.
    BTW the temps here is going back up to 37C this week and no rain for over à month.

    This is not normal.
    I have not seen two consécutive summers like this in 21 years of being here

    I drove out into the local countryside on Sunday and the pastures were dirt and the maize was thin and dry.
    This part of France has always been green, and humid.
    We are talking livelihoods here. Not some ideological dispute.
    It doesn't matter what you think or the politics you play on it. It is happening.

    What about the other 4,499,999,979 years (if you believe in "old Earth")?

    I'm not sure why you believe that a mere 21 years is sooooo special compared to all of the other years...

    Nothing is happening. You can't even identify what is happening. You can't even specify any mechanism of how it is happening (that doesn't deny logic, science, and mathematics).

    "Climate emergency" is just another government power and freedom grabbing hoax, just as "COVID emergency" was...
