And doesn't this apply to the whole invasion? The Russians certainly aren't helping their countrymen in Ukraine by just destroying the rest of the country. Why don't they just go home and take whoever of their countrymen who want to go with them?

I'm told the Russian Army was surprised at their reception, they expected to be greeted as liberators. I can't help but think that maybe Putin thought this too. So why didn't he just leave? Surely he can't think Ukraine will be an easy place to run after this. This whole thing makes no sense

 

The protection was the Minsk agreement. It was signed by Poroshenko when he sued the 2 Donbass Republics for peace, and Russia forced them to accept it by closing its border. Germany and France were the guarantors of the treaty and it was approved by the UN. Russia for 8 years tried to get France and Germany to put pressure on Zalensky to adhere to the treaty, but they refused. In the meantime, the civilians and infrastructure of Donetsk was under attack all those years so they could kill off and ethnically cleanse the Russian speaking population.

Poroshenko now admitted that he only signed the agreement so Ukraine could gain time and build up its army.

The Russian military took over the power plants to protect the Russian areas from Zalensky's blackmail and attacks, so it wouldn't make any sense to give them up now when he has shown how irresponsible he is towards human lives? Anyway the UN is sending the IAEA to check out everything and they will be remaining there permanently.

No one in Russia thought Zalensky would be so foolish as to bow to Washington and not sue for peace. With each delay, Russia freed more of the Russian speaking territory at the expense of Kiev. The way the fighting is going on now at Nikolaev and the breakdown of Ukraine's defenses, it seems Odessa will be next together with Kharkov, and that the 'Special Operation' will continue until Ukraine ceases to exist.

The Russian Army had to move in to capture or destroy or force into retreat the guns Kyiv was using on Donbas. The US weapons makers (aka defense industry) then provided longer-range weapons.

So far Russia has made a considerable investment to save the population of Donbas and Crimea.

As I understand it the Ukraine is running the power station, with Russia protecting it and most likely helping run the plant also.

How could that be possible when the Ukrainian government has been killing the Russian speakers for the past 8 years? Wouldn't Kiev use the plant as blackmail, since the Russian speakers would be the ones most affected by a nuclear catastrophe? The best solution is having the IAEA watch over it, that way Ukraine can't attack and blame Russia. I read that they will be there in about 2 weeks - unless Ukraine finds a way to stop them.

You're saying that half the people in Ukraine should leave their ancestral homes and go to Russia. Wouldn't it be better if the Western Ukrainians were to separate themselves from Ukraine and give the rest of the country some peace?

They were greeted as liberators in the areas freed by Moscow, that's why Moscow will be holding referendums in two weeks. The bad reception was by the Nazi contingents like Azov, who were embedded in the cities and using the Russian speakers there as human shields.

Anyway, you shouldn't believe anything coming out of Kiev. As an example, Zalensky is now saying that the people in Crimea want to free themselves from Russia - and yet they speak Russian, conduct business in Russian, go to schools in Russia, marry Russians and about 88% voted to unite with Russia. Other than that, they were treated as poor relatives under Kiev, and now Crimea's economy is thriving.

No, a false flag event is one done either by the country to the country and making as if it were an enemy's attack, or a country creating an event and implicating another country's actions so that a reaction is achieved or counter-action is then justified. That is what false flags are.
