Your entire post is a pathetic attempt to put lipstick on that pig that is the Ukrainian counter-offensive. For over 2 months they've been banging against the Russian defenses with only miniscule advances at tremendous cost in men and materiel.

Ukraine won't last a month if the US decides to pull the plug on its support and it's starting to look that way, regardless of what Biden may read off the teleprompter.

“Is this more a stalemate? Should we be realistic about it? I think we probably should,” Harris (R-Md.) said at a Tuesday night town hall, held at a public library about 75 miles north of Washington.

He said of Ukraine’s springtime offensive that was intended to turn the tide of the war: “I’ll be blunt, it’s failed.” And he was blunt, too, about the prospects for a victory ahead: “I’m not sure it’s winnable anymore.”

Why he’s different: Those are not unconventional views for a member of the hard-right House Freedom Caucus, of which Harris is a longtime member. But Harris is also a co-chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus whose Ukrainian mother fled communist Eastern Europe after World War II.

I'm hearing situation in Mariupol hospitals is catastrophic Woogs....no effective medicines, or morphine for locals since most beds taken by dead or dying RuZZki conscripts....local nurses and doctors quit, got arrested and deported or disappeared. The Washington Post reported on August 17 that the US intelligence community has assessed that Ukraine’s counteroffensive will fail to reach Melitopol in western Zaporizhia Oblast and will not achieve its principal objective of severing the Russian land bridge to Crimea. The unverified intelligence assessment reportedly states that effective Russian defensive operations and dense minefields have constrained Ukrainian advances and will continue to do so. Anonymous US officials reportedly stated that Ukrainian forces will advance to within several miles of Melitopol but not further. A Ukrainian advance to within a few miles of Melitopol would bring the critical road and rail connections on which Russia relies to supply its forces within range of Ukrainian artillery systems, severely compromising Russia’s ability to continue to use them for that purpose. It is unclear from published reports why US intelligence analysts have reportedly concluded that seizing Melitopol is the only way Ukraine can sever the Russian land bridge. ISW has, in fact, assessed that Ukraine has many options for severing critical Russian ground lines of communication along the northern Sea of Azov coast of which the seizure of Melitopol is only one. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken notably offered a diverging opinion from the alleged intelligence assessment on August 15, stating that the prospects for Ukraine’s counteroffensive to make significant “strategic gains” will remain unclear for at least a month or longer.

 

And back in reality ...

Ukraine keeps up a steady 2-1 advantage in inflicting losses in ... well, most everything. Men, tanks, IFVs, all of it. Except artillery, where they're doing much better. Ukraine now has artillery superiority over parts of the front. Pretty darn good for being on offense.

After busting through the first main Russian defense line in the area, of which Russia has ... two, Ukraine has taken all of Robotyne now, and is widening the salient, and pressing ahead to the Tokmak defense line. They need some space for the artillery that will be steadily shelling the Russian supply hub at Tokmak.

 

ukie hasn't busted through the grey zone, much less the first Russian line of defense. ukie ain't even within striking distance of the first line of defense.

 

Of course, that is simply not true. They are also doing remarkably well considering that they lack an air force to match Russia's at this time. They're doing better than the Z orcs despite having some significant material disadvantages, and those disadvantages are becoming less severe the longer this goes on.
