Those chickens lived for just a couple of months and overfed leading to bones not capable of supporting their weight. I assumed that the chickens were eaten later but was surprised to learn otherwise.
This cruel, selfish & barbaric practice should be banned as no one should be above the law.
To allow one religious group to break the law is to invite community resentment of that group.

 

But 50 million chickens are killed for food every year. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with killing chickens as long as they don't go through unnecessary pain.

None of the bones in a 6-8 week old chick have developed enough to support any load including the wing bones. Wing bones get broken in the cramped conditions and when the chicks are hung waiting for the cutter on the conveyor belt
