It is unimaginable that people allow their "Representatives" to so seriously undermine their interests.

Constituents are actually paying the salaries of folks who vote not to represent them.

Unfortunately, those freedom caucus bomb throwers in the House do exactly what their voters want them to do: Create the ultimate chaos, to convince even more voters that it all has to be torn down. It all starts with RW media and their brainwashing, anti-government propaganda.

Let us look on the bright side. Less government, less spending, less debt. The sins of the fathers are coming to roost. You cannot run a government that is spending $1.29 for every $1.00 coming in. I know it will be painful for many who depend on the government instead of on themselves. It's a wakeup call. I truly hope that they cannot fix this for a while and the government has to shut down. Some interesting things will happen then. Some people will find out that their gold is not being stored for them in some warehouse that makes it easily accessible if they try to withdraw it. If there is a run-on bank's for money maybe the people will find out that those stress tests that were conducted earlier in the year were a sham. Could it be possible the government will go after our I.R.A.'s or pension funds and outlaw our currency to obtain money to pay the debt or do we go into default? Either way the system will be exposed in real terms just how bad things are. The Chinese and others are no longer buying our debt. The average household would be filing for bankruptcy or be charge for criminal negligent activity if they run their household as the government does.

There will be those who will say "that can't happen" as they continue putting illegal aliens up in hotels around the country while ignoring many veterans and mentally challenged people living on the streets. Oh! the government can just print money. Why would they think that? Because our education system keeps our younger generations stupid about the monetary systems in this country. Just ask any young person if they know what M1 or M2 money supply is. Have they any idea what inflation does to their money? Have they ever been given the task to buy food for a few months to see how rising prices eats away at their money? Have they ever been properly taught the Constitution and that the, welfare clause, does not mean government assistance for individuals from the cradle until the grave?

That's quite the manifesto, that has absolutely ZERO to do with the GOP trying to find ONE (1) acceptable candidate for Speaker.

Be sure to pick up a copy of "Political Forum - The Home Game" on your way out...

It was highly unlikely a single D would have supported Scalise. There is ZERO chance any will support Jordan

    SNIP
They're also dialing up the rhetoric against the GOP’s new nominee for speaker, prominent Donald Trump ally Jim Jordan of Ohio, blasting him as an insurrectionist, election denier and extremist.

And those are his good qualities...

I don't see a Speaker until after Halloween.... best case....

It has a lot to do with why the Republicans cannot pick a majority speaker. There is no faction in the Republican Party that has the full support of the majority. The truth is the Democrats could very well find themselves in the same situation. This country is so divided, and the people are just fed up with the dogma of both major parties. The time has come to hold the politicians and the President accountable for their actions. This goes for both parties. The country is getting the government it deserves right now. We rarely go to the polls and elect the right person to represent us but go to the poll and elect the party, even if it's bad. We have been led to believe that Uncle Sam knows best, and all we need to do is, trust them. Corporations, lobbyists, the fourth estate (Media) and big money, for their own selfish interests, control the narrative and also the power who runs things and who doesn't.

There are some in the political spectrum that understand how the Government works and how it should work. Maybe the idea of parties picking their own candidates for office wasn't perfect but IMO I believe it was a better system than having a beauty contests where uneducated voters elect the candidate.

Some of the most uninformed people are our most educated. Education has no relation to political knowledge

The longer this Republican clown show continues, the better I like Jeffries chances. I mean, sooner or later a few Republicans are going to decide that even
a Democrat as Speaker is better than no Speaker at all.................... then again, I could be underestimating the loon factor that seems to be controlling the
Republican party............ the one that doesn't know how to govern.

Do you think that the current indictments against Trump are "unwarranted" or "frivolous"?

Some are pretty weak. But hell, I guess the end justifies the means.

No, this is not about "the end justifies the means"

Can you tell me which of the indictments you think are "weak"?

Actually education has a strong relation to ALL knowledge.

Being educated is not a guarantee of being well informed....but all things being equal someone who is educated is more likely to be well informed.

There is a reason Trump said, "I love the poorly educated"

The people of the USA deserve better. The Republicans did this to themselves. They brought in the loose cannons so they could shore up their ranks in the House, and now they the very same loose cannons, making a mess.

And did you notice the word "weakest" was in quotes??

What does/should that indicate to you?

It's the "weakest" because the expected penalties are the lightest. The case itself is essentially a slam dunk, especially if it were in federal court, where it should have been filed in the first place...

I thought the piece pretty succinctly explained and outlined WHY the case is the weakest (or 'weakest'). A federal case filed in a state court may, in fact, lead to it's weakness. You asked for an opinion but take humbrage with the punctuation, confusing.
