    25-35 percent unemployment!!
This city on the verge of total collapse !!
I live in the only nice part of town - the far west side
I work in the central part and it’s poverty out of a movie

vast majority of people in Vegas have zero education and many are drug addicts or mentally ill
Very sad site where I am

I guess the city (not the casinos) needs Federal help huh?

Unemployment should be helping out the poor folks

I'm surprised it isn't higher. When very nearly the entire economy is based on tourism and they tell you you can't have more than ten people in one place at a time your business is doa.

Here's a novel idea. Go back to normal so people can resume their lives. At their own risk of course but that's life, Life as it was before they realized they were just pawns of the government.

Almost all of the bailout went to the top 1 percent lol

I would guess that very few folks in Vegas have any College education and it’s the lowest in the country
    This city has 2 million

The entire travel hotel and hospitality industry across the world is devastated right now. Even some business that has been allowed to remain open like auto repair and gas stations aren't doing one tenth the normal business. an awful lot of hardworking Americans are going delinquent on their bill payments because SO MANY in our SUPPOSED booming economy were living hand to mouth. Average Americans need higher salaries, if and when we ever recover from this virus. Auto loan delinquents are growing.

You are completely wrong. 75% of those in Winchester have a high school education and 96% of those in Summerlin South have a High School education. 17% of those in North Law Vegas high a BS or greater and 49% of those in Summerlin South have a BS or higher. Those are the extremes. Other districts are in between those extremes.

I don't understand why Trump supporters find it so hard to understand that it's not "their own risk"... it's everybody's risk. We don't need idiots hogging up the limited number of tests available and that are needed to keep essential workers operating, just because they don't understand how an epidemic spreads.

Do you really think it is only Trump supporters that want to go back to work? Amazing.

Our post Covid -19 world will be nothing like our old world that we just left. If we bring critical manufacturing back to our country as we should, then everything will cost more and workers WILL HAVE TO BE PAID MORE and given back many of the benefits stripped away from them since 1980.

If we don't get back to work very soon, we will have more people dying of starvation than the virus. It's coming if we don't get back to work ASAP. I'm still keeping several weeks of food, but the inner cities are going to be hurting and desperate in a hurry when it happens.

I don't think that critical connection is being made. At all.

It's not at 'their own risk' though, is it. It's at EVERYONE'S risk. Each person who thinks it's only about them and thus goes out, delays a return to normal. Every time we step out our doors we drag this thing on a bit longer. We make it worse for everyone, by refusing to do our ESSENTIAL part.

It is much more complicated than that. Staying at home cannot go on indefinitely. At some point, we are going to start getting very hungry. Neither can a blanket order allowing us to go back to work work either. We all have different circumstances and different vulnerabilities. Very likely, I will not enter a barber shop for the next year because catching the virus could be fatal for me.

That has dick to do with COVID-19. Some might even point out the fact that it's a pre-existing condition...

We didn't worry about 'individual circumstances' during the war. Everyone was treated equally.

Americans will have enough to eat and a roof over their heads, regardless. That's all that matters. It's a worldwide emergency, remember .. not a glitch in the economy.
