They were wrong with their doom and gloom 500,000 to 2,000,000 dead predictions, they just can not admit it and thus stick to their narrative about how deadly this thing is. It's such a weak position to hold that they are getting desperate in their attempt to defend it. As the country opens this week they will get even more desperate and silly in their attempts to spin their narrative.

South Korea was able to mobilize mass testing at the start of the pandemic, which enabled them to control the spread of the disease and minimize the economic impact. But I guess the people there are spoiled rotten and expect entitlements from the government.

 

I find it really dumb to bitch and moan about a projection made about a virus for which there was almost zero information and expected to make projections based on the behavior of hundreds of millions of people over the course of a year.

The newer models placed the range of deaths, assuming full compliance, at around 35K-185K. We are now on track for around 75K dead and you want to pretend that the pandemic control measures did nothing.

Why not go ahead and give up our rights in regard to search and seizure, if you have nothing to hide I mean? How safe would the ability of the police to stop and search anyone, go door to doo to enter houses to do searches etc...

The lefty media sold that BS weeks ago to make Trump look like a failure and in truth set up Trump to look like a hero when the number came in at a upwards of 95% lower than predicted.

That is a political fumble of epic status.

 

A) No, those models came out before guidelines from the Whitehouse emerged and they came out loooooong before Trump realized this virus was a threat.

B) Please do run a campaign ad that touts 60K dead Americans in five weeks.

C) The original models have not been proven wrong and it is ****ing dumb to credit Trump for saving hypothetical Americans.

PS - I am happy that you learned to stop trying to demonstrate your ability to do subtraction everytime you reference those original projections from six weeks ago. Or perhaps you still think the number of dead Americans is still 2,199,960 away from that 2.2 million estimate?
