    You can not have it both ways. If SD "saved us all" then Trump gets the credit for that. I do not think it played nearly the role you think it did in saving lives but if it did then Trump is da man! :)

    Fake news. Trump can't take credit for SD when SD started back when Trump was still downplaying the threat. Trump was a late adopter. I'm sorry the facts threaten your political dogma, but they remain facts.

    But it's not. Take your sentence apart, and ask yourself: "Why is that?" If the death rate is essentially the same as any other viral infection in human history, then the risk is inherently the same. And if we are fine and dandy with taking that risk, then we should be fine taking this one.

    It makes no sense to accept 140,000 deaths that happen for centuries, but if this thing kills 140,000(or slightly over)..."OMFG, put up the walls(irony is achieved). PANIC! PANIC!

    Trump acted (at least) a month too late in implementing SD.

    It should have been implemented in Februrary.

    Instead, Trump was still holding large rallies and calling the virus a "hoax".

    It shouldn't have happened at all! The only thing shut down did was prolong what is turning out to be nothing more then another flu season..

    What would have had him do CRAP um out? There is still a shortage World Wide and the 30min antibody test is still in development.. His name is Trump, not GOD.. And I bet he hasn't a clue how to personally build a test kit :wierdface::roll:

    So how do think any flu kills a person, if not a vulnerability! Well its no secrete why this country is locked in their homes, they are sorely uneducated about flu and how they kill :wierdface::shock::roll:

    I'm sure others have brought this up: a highly infections novel virus with a .5% mortality rate is catastrophic. With no immunity and no vaccine, we could easily see over half the country eventually get this. That would be 750,000 deaths.

    The denominator is rising far faster than the numerator. It won't be anywhere near 0.5 per cent in the final tallies.

    Delay what, the inevitable? What you and many other cant seem to grasp is, until your immune system is introduced to this virus or any new pathogen you will REMAIN vulnerable..
