Virus spread in America by "community transmission"...? What is that?!

Now we're getting current news that the Corona virus (COVID19) has been diagnosed in Americans who have had no contact whatever with anyone who was in China, and who never went there themselves! So, now what the hell... does the virus just pop up out of the ground?!

And, oddly, so far, all of the known instances have been right on the West Coast....

I'm not quite at the point yet of thinking that this is all part of some 'conspiracy', but surely there is something that "they" aren't telling us....

Maybe they came in contact with the "Trump Response Team" that violated protocol (by not wearing protective gear)?

They aren't telling you what they don't know and there is a lot they don't know. Two possibilities. The first is that someone caught the virus from another person that nobody knew had the the virus. The other is that the tests they use aren't worth a plug nickel. Common sense tells me that but people tend to abandon common sense when they get worked up.

 

Just what we need ... a great mass of infected illegals rushing the border to get treated in the U.S.

No known contact doesn't mean no contact. The patient could have come in to contact with someone who was infected but asymptomatic without either of them being aware or the patient might know they were in a risk group but is unwilling to admit it for whatever reason. Also, given the reference to them being in a serious condition, it might just be that they're in no position to given investigators the details of their recent travel and contacts that would be necessary to identify the likely source of their infection.

There is absolutely zero justification for thinking there is anything we're not being told here and your attempt to spin this up in to something more is indefensible.

Incompetence - yeah, that's easy to believe and not restricted to Democrats.
Corruption - possibly, but again not restricted to any one particular party.

The Kung Flu sounds like a bad cold to me. Most people don't go to the doctor when they get a cold, they just let it run it's course. They probably got it from someone that didn't even know they had the Kung Flu.

There is evidence that the virus has an incubation period up to 27 days. There's evidence that asymptomatic folks can spread it. And China is literally washing or outright destroying physical currency to try to stop the spread (link). It wouldn't surprise me if there are tens of thousands or even more who are infected in the US and don't know it yet. Wash your hands, folks.

I doubt you remember the Swine Flu epidemic of 1976, but I remember it well! The government came out with a vaccine (ta-DAH!) and herded ALL of us into getting it ASAP. The result? A number of people DIED, and many more suffered partial paralysis in their limbs, and some of it was permanent. I was one of the lucky ones... I only lost the ability to feel anything with my right thumb for about seven months. But, hey, I was a good, GULLIBLE citizen back then! I believed the government (even after it lied to us for ten straight years about the Vietnam War), and I believed that I was being told everything that was important. They are reporting that a Washington state home for senior citizens has 50 people who are sick with suspected coronavirus, some are residents some are staff who are going home out into the general community spreading their illness???
