Virus spread in America by "community transmission"...? What is that?!

We have already dealt with that. The only possible reason that these people could have put the US there is that they are a year late in creating their lists and were using the strategies and team which Obama had created. Trump killed that. You had nothing., Absolutely nothing except a President who looks like he was wanting to be President of the loons and whose lack of creating a strategy for you, whose refusal to set in motion any National way to deal with this had the benal reality that you even had a man who it was believed had Coronavirus in two ordinary hospitals with no protective clothing used by the health teams. He did eventually get the virus test and was positive and this has resulted in around a hundred hospital workers now in isolation. Workers who you may very well need due to the amount of other potential victims you have - hundreds in quarantine in Sacramento, 8,000 in self isolation in California and your president talks of wonder cures and fake news.and you people still think his madness is funny.

and of course then he declares as the person in charge a man who is known to go to God for his policies and who did so about HIV and refused to allow addicts clean needles resulting in many deaths.

I trust most of your country will understand however angry they are putting in men whose only interest is thereselves (and possibly the stock market\) is a very dangerous thing for a country to do.

We have this virus situation as much controlled as a novel virus can be controlled. There will be spread, hitting some communities harder and faster and others probably won't get hit.

I expect a major outbreak here later this month because my money-hungry Democrat-Socialist mayor is not going to cancel an annual 10-day international film/music festival. It simply brings in too much tourism money and profit to the city. I expect it will also leave us with lots of coronavirus. But hey, we both know what drives politics. It's not partisanship. It's money.

Just some information for you.

My point was that you had no strategy for dealing with this. Obama created a strategy which put the US at the top of the world. That is why it is there on that wrong thing you keep putting up. Trump ripped that up in 2018 and fired the people. You had nothing. You refused to even give states testing kits when they asked for them have thousands of suspect people. Due to your Amdinistration's inability to be able to research this virus and how infectious it is and your lack of a strategy to help the whole of the US - you have left yourselves in a very perilous situation. Would not even surprise me if you end up with states fighting states. Enjoy.

The Washington state cases likely originated from a man who had traveled to Wuhan, China according to Dr. Zeke Emanuel on CNN. One month after he returned to Washington a teenager

Health officials then scrambled to retrace his history, tracking down eight people he had socialized with at a group lunch and 37 more who were in the clinic when he showed up for medical help. They also reached out to people on his flight back to the United States."

The teenager was diagnosed after he appeared at a clinic on February 24th complaining of flu-like symptoms. Both individuals live in the same county and they both share a rare genetic variant of the
coronavirus only found in 2 of 59 samples. The virus has been spreading for about 6 weeks in Washington state and it is estimated that anywhere from 150 to 1500 people now have the virus originating
from this single source.

I speculated previously that the northern California cases near Travis AFB could
have come from one of the Diamond Princess cruise patients transmitting the
disease to a Federal health employee.

 

You're right, Joe, we aren't going to get anywhere. Don't let it distress you. The virus will run its course, and it will pass -- regardless whether the government tells us "all", half the truth, or just does its usual push/pull routine. One thing is for sure -- the central bank, and the government will protect the stock market, NO MATTER WHAT! It's what they did in 2008, and it's what they'll do again!

We in the States will be relatively lightly affected, and as long as we use good hygiene methods for taking care of ourselves, and are careful about where we go, what we do, and what we touch, the whole thing will blow-over in a matter of a couple of months -- tops. If you're going to stock up on anything, stock up on bleach (the cheaper the better), and, hydrogen peroxide.

We'll look back on this before long and ask, "Now what the hell is everybody going to do with all those worthless face-masks they bought...?" By June, the masks won't even be eligible to be a 'fashion-statement anymore....

 

All your 'Saint Obama' did was endanger American military personnel, and then, the general American population, by sending members of the U. S. military to AFRICA to get involved in a recurring, foreign Ebola virus epidemic. Frequently, our troops were sent into dangerous areas of Sub-Saharan Africa where the local population was so stupid, 'Stone-Age', and dangerous that they attacked and murdered health-care workers that had been sent to their shitholes in an effort to help SAVE THEM!

Common people around the world are associating the coronavirus as being specific to the Chinese and to other Asians. If it is then we will have some super-size problems because it means that it is possible to target other ethnic groups with specific killer viruses. Eventually the truth will come out and it will be great news if the coronavirus is an equal opportunity killer. The fact that they are covering it up indicates that it is not and that is super bad news.

 

There is no community transmission because if there was everyone around the sick person would be infected. There is no indication that is the case.

Consider: this morning the news comes out that one of the top-dogs in Iran -- a high-level adviser to no less than Supreme Leader Khamenei has died of the Corona virus! And several other prominent figures in the Iranian government are sick with it, including a woman who is Vice President for Women and Family Affairs. Neither of them was in China, neither was known to have been dining on snakes, bats, or anteaters, and neither of them probably had to relieve their bowels over a "squat toilet" (the upper-classes in all countries usually take very good care of themselves....). So -- how did they get the virus?

My guess? All the 'experts' will roll their eyes around and mumble something about the viral infections being "idiopathic". It sounds so much more scholarly and erudite than simply admitting, "We don't have a fugging clue...."
