Even when I was below the Federal Poverty Limit I STILL forked out $300 to Uncle Sam. Single People, no matter how poor, still have to pay.

The existing system isn't going to continue because it can't be sustained financially. The children of illegal aliens aren't being educated. Instead, they are being warehoused in public school. That means they have no future.

Of course one can go back on it. All one has to do is move past the idea of the USA. Mexicans gamed the system. Why shouldn't I game mexicans?

Because back in that time, many settlers went to war over territory, it was before the United Nations formed... After all was fought and done, the leaders of groups of people holding specific heritage made decisions for their people based on the results of the wars/fighting or their perceptions of their peoples abilities... The people who could not sustain the fight came to agreements, that is why we are who we are today, the United Nations, People, together United regardless of creed, together as one!

It's a lot more than that though.

    From Wikipedia:

70,000 Mexicans inhabited an area of over 9.5 million square miles. There were over 140,000 native Americans in the same space at the time.

So NATIVE AMERICANS OUTNUMBERED Mexican settlers 2:1 at the time of the Treaty.

You cannot by ANY measure of the imagination call 70,000 inhabitants in a couple of concentrated population centers in a vast space of 9.5 million square miles "owning" or "claiming".

That land was free and clear for the taking of whoever could go there and grab it. Plain and simple.

The American West was essentially uninhabited and free land for anyone.

Mexico may have had some bull (*)(*)(*)(*) legal claim to it, but in reality, no one lived there. You have to actually inhabit somewhere to lay claim to it.

The idea that Mexico "owned" the American West is absolutely ludicrous on it's face. Nobody lived there, you cannot lay claim to something no one lived in. Sovereignty by its very definiton requires that you claim, control and defend an area of land. There was a claim, but neither could the Mexicans control or defend the area they laid claim to.

IMO, the Mexican population was so negligible that its ludicrous to say they have any present day rights to the land.

I am certain each felt they inhabited and owned the land but settlements were being formed and the fittest survived, but in this case the winners tried to compromise... Unfortunate, but a fact of life....

With people like this behind green energy....why would you ever trust what anyone is saying?

The obama machine causing chaos...it's going to get worse before Nov. 2012. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

The land wasn't stolen, it was war and the governments agreed to the land exchange. No one alive, American or Mexican, was involved in the land deals. This is about Mexican nationalists and militants wanting what they are not owed.

So you would suggest that Russia has little claim to Siberia or Canada to the Northwest Territories or the U.S. to Alaska?

The ones (the bankers) you pay (they take some of it out of our pay) your money to is the ones that owns this Country. The people who believe they own property, just stop paying the tax and see if it’s not taken from you. No one owns anything in this Country……the government does. And what the government owns belongs to the bankers.

What white Americans have allowed (via the U.S government, CIA and the IMF) to be done to other people (both inside the Country and especially outside of it) is going to be done and is being imposed on them.

You obvious missed the part where I said Sovereignty is based on

    1)A claim

2)The ability to occupy the claim

3)the ability to defend the claim

    It's not that hard.

We can defend our (*)(*)(*)(*). The mexicans couldn't.

Oh, and I guarantee you the Russians will lose Siberia to China in the next 50 years. The Chinese are sending millions of illegal immigrants north into Siberia and the Russians can't stop them. At some point the Chinese will just march in and take over and the Russians won't be able to do (*)(*)(*)(*) to stop them.

Do you mind if we fight back the way Crazy Horse and Tecumseh fought back? That way at the very least we can take some of the mexicans with us when we go.

I live in California. The California political system is like the Mexican political system. Corrupt. Better to die on your feet than to serve on your knees.

Seems to me that someone took Mexico from the Indians. I would think they would want it back too.

Maybe wrong, but I seem to remember the US paying Mexico for a few of those states. Did anyone pay the Indians for Mexico?

Despite the fact that Mexican Indians never lived North of the Rio Grande because Red North American Indians would kill them, the Mexican Government instead tells them their land is up here so they leave and become the problem of the USA rather than the white people who run Mexico.

How many brown faces you see in Mexican Government?

The Mexican thieves who stole both Mexico from the Indians there, and the Mexican thieves who stole the southwestern US from the Indians there, are the ancestors of the Mexican thieves who are now stealing the whole USA from the Americans, by way off 21st century imperialism. Instead of invading with armies (which they know they can't do) they send legions of poor people to come here and steal jobs from Americans, and then send Billion$$$$$$$$$ back to their families in Mexico. This modern day imperialism has been taking $25 Billion/year out of America's economy and re-inserting it into Mexico's. $25 Billion/year ? That's a big haul. The Vikings would be envious.

As for the loons who claim "their" land was stolen. 1. They never owned any land. 2. Their ancestors were paid handsomely for the land. 3. Their ancestors stole that land from the Indians (didn't pay the Indians anything) 4. How many of the Mexican kids who are now blabbing that "their" land was stolen from them, speak Navaho, Comanche, Pima, Apache, Pueblo, or Ute ? Not many I'd guess.

These punks are the same type of thieves as their Mexican ancestors who stole the land from the Indians.

When it comes to foreign policy, there are many times when yes, might makes right. Why do you have such a problem with that?

Not everything can be solved with talking and diplomacy and not everyone is interested in hearing what our diplomats have to say.

Why is the world so naive?
