Sure I'd use it... as usual I wouldn't even look at anybody in the bathroom and would get my business done. If there are no urinals then the age-old battle to put down the toilet seat will go public.... but that's really the only reason I can think of to gender-segregate bathrooms. Stalls are private enough... Oh I suppose it is nice to not have to wait in line for the bathroom like women often do. So maybe I do benefit from not having to share a restroom with them and they'd be the ones to gain from this.

I hate it when there's pee on the seat. Maybe women would learn to thank men for putting the toilet seat up. TBH I hear about the toilet seat issue a lot but have never dated anybody who was militant about it, not even the OCD clean ones.

At this point, there are only 2 options.

    1. Go completely gender neutral. Several "one person at a time" restrooms will be needed.
    2. Have 8 different restrooms to accommodate each preference. (The signs would be the combination of nuts and bolts that best describes the gender/preference)

    Why is this an issue???

There are multiple times and places where both sexes have to use the same toilet - and contrary to popular opinion I women do not faint at the sight of urinals - however we are probably a little more vocal about lack of aim

I would have more problems using THIS toilet

I would love to see research as to whether this one is keep cleaner by the general public

Now women can finally experience the joys of using the pissed-on public men's room toilet.

I don't foresee this thing taking off.

Are they the kind that let multiple use them at once? See, I've never seen much point in making single occupancy bathrooms gender-specific, as whoever is in there gets to lock the door and be alone anyway. But multiple occupancy restrooms? Hell, I think that would be opening a can of exceptionally nasty worms.

When I first went to Thailand back in 1967 and hit my first bar, to use your words, their bathroom was gender neutral. Urinals against one wall and toilets against another. I saw it as no big thing. But then after all the beer, Singha I drunk, nothing would be a big thing.

Well - as long as you do that inside an appropriate receptacle then all is fine :D

However it might also solve another issue

We had a case here in West Australia where a young girl was shopping with her father - she went into the public toilet and there was a paedophile hiding inside who killed her. They caught him of course but that did not bring back that child. If the father of the child had been able to go into the toilet area he would have heard the screams and have been able to act

Sad case - and one of those where I would happily apply the death penalty - after of course suitable retribution - I sincerely hope that rock spider got the full prison treatment that is usually doled out to paedophiles by inmates

Creepy case. Can't be too common, though. Certainly wouldn't justify gender-bending restrooms.

I've been in 40 different countries around the world...I will admit it is a bit disconcerting when using a urinal and a lady walks in and sits down on a toilet and doesn't bother shutting the door. Then proceeds to strike up a conversation...I even had to get this one lady a roll of TP, she thought it was cute when I blushed. Hell I was only 18 when it first happened in Korea. So yes I would use it.

We are a bit prudish in the USA about our bodies and nudity...Both Europe and Asia cured me of that

Been to Australia love, dived the Great Barrier Reef and swam with whale sharks at Ningaloo (?) Reef, both are impressive...But I have to say there are too damn many poisonous things in Australia for my taste...But I did enjoy my time there in the late 80's.

I've seen them and I've used them. Many cases it's all there is.

I have been using gender neutral bathrooms all my life.

Pretty much every small restaurant has a single gender neutral bathroom.

Why would that be a problem?

I'd obviously use it if there was no alternative (nearby bushes, etc.) I assume we are talking (in the OP) about bathrooms with multiple commodes and urinals that are open to both men and women for simultaneous use with no locked door. What is the reason for that? It's not that much more of a problem to put in 2 separate bathrooms in the U.S. Does this have to do with the confusion of homosexuality?
