    This may come as a shock to you, but the average American doesn't really give two turds about how they might be perceived by the rest of the world! You may be judging them from places like this forum where a select FEW gather to fill out their boring lives and make known their fanatical hopes, dreams and darkest thoughts, while the rest get up every morning, head off to work, drag their ass's home at night, give their little ones a pat on the head and a hug, have a beer and dinner and doze off till bedtime! And on good day Momma lets daddy play around in the box the kids came in :)

    You can easily check. It is enough to go to the website of the US Department of Justice and ask about the number of prisoners at the moment. But you will not do it. Is not it?
