It is silly to worry, I know. My hypothetical is there is simply an accident and a shooting war starts somewhere in the world and it turns nuclear. Russia is going to take only so much poor behavior by the US. The Russians are finding out recently what the Native Americans learned 150 years ago, that the government in Washington cannot be trusted, ever.

I think it is incorrect to use the pronoun we when addressing Americans. Nobody in the U.S. thinks we are on the verge of war with Russia. Lucky for Russia.

Facts don't lie. It was controlled demolition all the way. Just like Peter Jennings observed, and Dan Rather too. Watching at the office, I felt the same way.

The cover-up is worse than the crime.

    C’mon, guys!
The kid is trying to make a living. Let him earn a paycheck today so that he can buy a bottle of vodka and sardines and enjoy that in front of his awesome wall rug and cathode-ray TV from 1987. He might even post a picture of himself doing that!

No, it really wasn't. I don't care how you felt. I've examined the evidence to the greatest extent possible as someone at home relying on the intardwebs, and I see no reason to think it was a controlled demo. From the collapse beginning at the point of impact on each building to the lack of explosive noise, flashes or other such evidence and a lack of any physical remains to indicate the use of explosives, and the fact that the entire collapse of each building is entirely consistent with the buildings' structure and physics involved, everything about it screams "airliners slammed into the towers, severely compromised the structure around the point of impact and caused fires that further weakened the supports until critical failure occurred in each case."

Are you Van Romero in disguise? LOL.

The whole story is nonsense, not just the crazy idea you're trying to advance. The heads of the government commission admitted they were set up to fail.

The Pentagon changed details so many times that some members wanted to charge perjury, but they didn't. In the final report there were 63 uses of the term "we found no evidence".

I would have to be stupid to pretend the story is true. It fails at all levels, from aviation to burning office fires and gravity.

It fails at none of those points. You crash airliners loaded with fuel into buildings such as those, what happened is precisely what was bound to happen.

    Aluminum can't cut the steel.
Breakage of Support structure at one place cannot cause breakage of lower structures.
Physics says that as you apply pressure from the top the resistance from the lower structure would increase proportionally. (3rd law of motion)
Buildings were falling in free fall (no resistance)

So what is your point? Russia should be able to do whatever it wants because it poses a military threat?

Despite the chest-thumping by Russian regime and claims of their military superiority, is it possible that "no one seems to care" because the Putinistas have failed to generate any real fear in their adversaries?

Why don't you Kremlin toadies call up Putin and tell him to start launching those scary missiles....that is if he has anything between his legs besides his big mouth.....and then you can experience the true nature of those "NATO midgets"!

Bunch of nonsense. It's not merely an issue of aluminium cutting steel, but of course stating it that way is a silly, flawed way of attempting to argue against the facts of what happened. As for breakage of lower structures, having several stories of a steel and concrete building fall on the structure below absolutely will cause breakage. If the physics of this confuses you, try researching gravity and momentum. The way you're attempting to apply the 3rd Law of Motion, it sounds like you're arguing that no building should be able to collapse unless it fails from the bottom up. You might want to research that, too. Remember that with each collapsing floor, that much more weight and momentum came to be added the downward force. And no, the buildings were not in freaking freefall. Enough of that lie.

Russia is lapping up the attention, bunch of prima donna's. Grigory Logvinov Russian Ambassador to Australia handled the press like a pro yesterday, with headlines like, his "interview running longer than the Volga" and "stand aside Sean Spicer" due to blatant lies and denials without as much as a blink or a pause. I'll just sit back and watch the show because that's what it is.

The reaction of politicians in Great Britain and other countries, including my own is unacceptable, excessive and inappropriate.

On the other hand ... if a former Russian double agent is poisoned with a combat substance developed in the USSR and this is not the first and only Russian and Putinggender to whom this happens, then that raises, if you are honest, legitimate questions (not suspicions and accusation, only QUESTIONS)! The Russian reaction here was honestly not really smart and also a bit arrogant ...

But worse and completely unacceptable is the twisting of the rule of law that you have to prove the guilt of the accused, but the accused does not have to prove his innocence. But this nonsense was made here by Theresa May ... which then joined other idiots.
Until now, there is no single proof of Russia's guilt, only claims, guesses and suspicions and questionable conclusions! But Russia has to prove innocence against these things? Ridiculous!

That the development is dangerous and treasonable, that is correct, but I only see a raising ice age of cold war, but no relevant danger of war!

WOW Mandy, another brilliant post - you're on form this morning. Theresa May, the most dangerous politician on the planet today.
