Just out of curiosity, what are the preferred drinks of members on the forum?

I like Norlands Guld. Just a regular beer, but a nice clean strong taste. Usually drink weak beer (3.5%), mostly with my lunch. Mariestads is exactly the same. Since it is owned by same company, I think they just take the same beer and package it into two different bottles.

If one thinks about it, this is much like the political process in many ways. It is the same beer inside, but they market it as two different brands.
    illusion of variety

    All American beer is terrible.

I'm a fan of kvas, but it's a little too high in calories if I'm to reduce my weight as I'd like to, so I mostly stick to just coffee and water :D Oh yeah, and maybe a beer/red wine or two in a day.

I like unsweetened iced tea with lemon.. Sparkling water, V-8, and the rare Dewars with soda and a wedge of lime.

Vodka, whiskey, and Indian whiskey (essentially whiskey-flavored rum). For vodka, I like Smirnoff, though cheap Indian stuff like Romanov is good, too. It gets the job done. Other than Jack Daniels, I don't have much experience with whiskey, though I like what I've had. Cocktails with these, too. I love a good vodka and cran, though there are days I just want to feel the burn and I drink it straight. I can also enjoy some beers, though I'm picky on that front. Tuborg is good for that. I enjoy a variety of wines, though cheap port is good for getting drunk.

I drink an absurd amount of water, too, if that counts.

You couldn't be further from the truth. The US boutique beer scene is superb for anyone who actually likes beer. Being as most pilsner type lagers taste more or less the same, it's the responsibility of IPA, EPA, APA, PA, Stout and Amber beers (note 1) to make a difference.

I've yet to try a decent Scando beer.

Note 1: All these beers were invented by the British - we are brewing masters! Although US small breweries do a great job of making them... I actually had a really good Italian IPA recently.

    - - - Updated - - -

Generic pislner (spelling intentional ;)) crap IMO.

I don't often drink beer, but when I do, ... I prefer Dos Equis.

Estancia sed mis amigos (Stay thirsty my friends).

Not bad. I prefer straight whiskies, usually on the rocks. I prefer a solid American whiskey like Woodford, or a scotch, but I also like special ciders. Angry Orchard Iceman is amazing.

A good coffee or tea, and water without city taste or smell ( we have a filter), once a month I'll have a Coke ( the bad kind), and a decent orange juice.

Sorry, no booze, but if I would, I'd go for quality over quantity.

Daily- coffee (a lot), water, diet soft drinks or unsweetened iced tea. Weekends- add a couple good beers and perhaps a shot of bourbon.

It's a drink popular in Russia and neighboring lands. It's semi-sweet, semi-bitter, made from some weird concoction of bread and sweeter flavoring elements.

Tastes great, though, at least to me. Nevermind the description and just give it a try sometime. I discovered it while studying abroad in Germany (surprise!) because there was a little Russian shop not far from my dorm.

If you happen to have a Russian/Ukrainian/etc. shop in your area, you can probably find bottles of it there. I've seen 2-liter and smaller..

I used to brew my own cider; it's very easy and the results are really good! I even could make them sparkling and around 7-8%.

Rarely go near whiskey any longer but if I do, it's straight and Scotish.

    Water!

[I managed to get two DUIs in the same day (by the same cops - LoL) back in 2003 and that was the end of that life tangent.]
