First of all, what does CRT not teach. It does not teach that an act of prejudice against any individual, or a joke, or misspoken racially charged word is, in and of itself, racism. Regardless of what you might have heard from the Tucker Carlson/Hannity/Alex Jones/Breitbart/et al... disinformation echo chamber, it does not teach black kids that they are oppressed by white kids who are privileged. That is nonsense!

CRT teaches FACTS. Facts that are supported by studies. These studies show that racism is not an individual act of prejudice. It's a failure built into the system (hence the term "systemic racism").

I've seen some here, mostly on the right, who think that if we just shut our eyes, cover our ears and make as if this didn't exist, that those who are on the receiving end won't complain anymore. Very delusional!

Here are some examples of what CRT teaches. It teaches that studies and independent analysis SHOW...

...that black people are seven to eight times more likely to be stopped and searched than whites, when there is no cause.
    https://thehill.com/homenews/state-...-likely-than-whites-to-be-subjected-to-police

    https://abcnews.go.com/US/driving-black-abc-news-analysis-traffic-stops-reveals/story?id=72891419

.. that black people are seven times more likely to be falsely convicted of murder.
    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/3/7/14834454/exoneration-innocence-prison-racism

... that black people are six times more likely to be killed by police.
    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/b...illed-by-police-harvard-study-says-2020-06-26

...that black people are disproportionately more likely to be stopped by police
    https://5harad.com/papers/100M-stops.pdf
    https://www.rand.org/content/dam/rand/pubs/reprints/2007/RAND_RP1253.pdf

...that despite the fact that they are less likely to be found carrying contraband than whites, they are searched more frequently.
    https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-lapd-searches-20190605-story.html

    https://www.startribune.com/black-d...rches-during-routine-traffic-stops/572029792/

...that blacks are disproportionately more likely to be killed at a traffic stop than whites.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/national/police-shootings/?tid=a_inl_manual

And that, in general, lethal force is more likely to be used against blacks
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6080222/

... despite the fact that it's White supremacists who have been responsible for 83% of the extremist related murders, and are involved in about 52% of the shootings between extremists and police.
    https://www.adl.org/sites/default/files/documents/state-of-white-supremacy-united-states-2015.pdf

These are just a few examples. This is not some "liberal conspiracy theory". These are serious studies and analysis.

But this doesn't mean that cops or... anybody in particular... is a racist. This is just part of the system. It's in the culture! And it needs to be addressed an removed.

This is what CRT teaches: FACTS!! And the facts are not going to go away just because some right wingers make up wild conspiracy theories.

It is sad to see people getting upset with truth factors because they want to live in an imaginary world with their rose colored glasses.

It's surprising how many of the above are demonstrably false, use statisitcal manipulations to achieve their results, and frankly are nothing more than a list of fake news. But, what is really disturbing here is that folks are so willing to not actually look under the covers and blindly accept these headline chasing race baiters down the swirly hole.

Simply read these statistics, compiled by the FBI. They entirely refute the above.

    https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019

The real question is why are the race hustlers so willing to spread their message? Of course it is to divide folks. And why? That's a really good question. The only racists I know have D's next to their names on tV. When Biden speaks of racism, he knows it first hand simply because it is who he is.

You have yet to prove they are false, and your highly generalized attempt to not refute anything pertaining to what CRT contains is noted.

Look at it this way -- What percent of females are stopped by police? What percent of nuns are stopped by police? What percent of priests are stopped by police? Very few in those three categories and common sense tells us why. Common sense also tells us it's the opposite reason so many blacks are stopped by police.

Gosh. Do the work, for once. The FBI report, as read, repudiates the assertions. En masse. Knowing that these assertions, are factually incorrect is simply the product of being informed. We've had these discussions endlessly here. The conclusions are always the same. CRT is an extension of the communist manifesto, if purposefully attempts to isolate groups so that true unity of purpose or unity of culture is no longer possible. You know this, you've been schooled endlessly here.

I want to look at your link in detail but are you sure they refute the points listed by the op? I only spent about 5 minutes clicking through some of the links and glanced at the conviction rates by race etc... but I saw nothing refuting the ops points like frequency of stop and search, wrongful conviction or suspects stopped by police based on race. Am I not clicking on the right links? Can you link us to those relevant statistic on the page? I will try to look in greater detail after work.

Delgado, and other CRT scholars, indeed think that we should curb free speech by enacting new tort classes. CRT says that that is indeed racism, but that's not ALL that racism is. I think you're misspeaking there.

True, perhaps for the early forms of CRT.

Your post is flat out misleading. CRT might indeed include studies like the ones above, but read the introduction to Critical Race Theory: An Introduction. It goes well beyond law enforcement and into non-criminal every day life. That's from the horses' mouths. Criminal justice just warrants one subsection of a chapter which also includes:
    Welfare and Poverty
Hate speech, Language Rights, and School Curricula
    Affirmative Action and Color Blindness
    Globalization and Immigration
    Voting Rights

So it seems you're trying to misrepresent what CRT includes as a way to legitimize it. How are you any different than Rufo?

Not to mention, lots of the facts you outline above are a result of a disproportionate amount of crimes being committed by blacks. Blacks indeed are stopped for traffic violations at a greater rate than whites, because they break traffic laws at a rate greater than whites. Should we not stop blacks for speeding just to make you feel better?

CRT is the betrayal of MLK.

No, Critical Race Theory Isn’t a New Civil Rights Movement. (Just the Opposite)
Published by Kenny Xu and Christian Watson

". . . When Donald Trump signed an executive order to rid federal agencies of CRT, over 120 civil rights organizations signed a letter condemning his initiative. The simplified political narrative presented CRT as the antidote to racism, while Trump clung to the old racist ways. But you don’t have to be a Trump supporter to find the tenets of CRT offensive. Martin Luther King and his contemporaries famously fought for a world in which “people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” Not only does CRT put the color of one’s skin front and center, it also presents human character as largely an outgrowth of race—with white oppressors being implicitly programmed by the wicked ideology of “whiteness,” while non-whites are presumptively granted the status of victim. . . ."

Does CRT teach or is it an academic study? Is it a subject that's taught or a subject of research?

I don't know, but from what I've read, CRT isn't a class. There is no CRT 101.

Yes, it is taught at the university level, and yes, it is used as an approach to teaching below the university level.

Why is that statistic not surprising? Does the study mention that black people are seven to eight times more likely to commit violent acts? They are seven to eight times more likely to commit murder than a white person.

Load of crap. More black people are stopped because more crime happens in black neighborhoods. A black man is vastly more likely to be a victim of gun violence than a white man. A black woman is far more likely to be raped than a white woman and her attacker is far more likely to get away with it.

In fact being black makes you far more likely to be a victim of crime than being white. There is a reason blacks favor more policing rather than less by about 4 to 1.

And please note most of the so-called white supremacists shooting attributions are bogus garbage. Dude that shot up parkland has been labeled a white supremacists as has the guy that shot the female congress person a few years back as well as the kid that shot up the Walmart. None of the three actually we're. Walmart shooter environmental wacko the congress lady wasn't shot for being a leftist she was shot because she wasn't left enough. It is simply a reflex action by the SPLC to call any mass shooter a white supremacist whether there is any actual proof of that contention or not.

This family sued and won, in Nevada, because they were requiring a class based in part on Critical Race Theory at a government-funded charter school. Oh, BTW, the family is mix-raced.

It's a devious little game. "CRT isn't being taught in schools" - the liberals say. The schools create a class or course and call it something other than CRT, and then say, "see, CRT isn't being taught."

This particular class, called the Sociology of Change was based in part off of CRT and Crenshaw's work. This class replaced the school's typical Social Studies class, according to the lawsuit.

    FROM THE LAWSUIT FILED:
"After Plaintiffs objected in early September to the coercive and ideological nature of the Sociology of Change class, DPAC Principal Johnson informed Mrs. Clark that the theoretical basis of the revamped Sociology of Change course is known as “intersectionality,” and is inspired by political activist, academic, and “Critical Race Theory” proponent Kimberlé Crenshaw, who is featured prominently in the course materials.

The teacher’s material stated who qualified as oppressors, and who in virtue of their gender and race harbored “inherent belief in the inferiority” of others. As a result, Ms. Bass explicitly assigned moral judgments to pupils based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, and religion. William felt that if he had submitted to the terms of this exercise, he would have been in effect adopting and making public affirmations about his racial, sexual, gender identities, and religious background that he believed to be false and which violated his moral convictions. He also did not wish to profess his identities on command in a non-private setting.

A “vocab reminder” visual graphic from the same class instructed participants that “oppression” is “malicious or unjust treatment or exercise of power.” The lesson categorized certain racial and religious identities as inherently “oppressive,” singling these identities out in bold text, and instructed pupils including William who fell into these categories to accept the label “oppressor” regardless of whether they disagreed with the pejorative characterization of their heritage, convictions, and identities. The familial, racial, sexual, and religious identities that were officially singled out and characterized as “oppressive” were predetermined by Defendants’ class material from the outset and highlighted as such in bold text, prior to any discussion between student and teacher...

Mrs. Clark spoke with Principal Johnson on or about September 15, 2020, to discuss her and William’s concerns about the abusive and discriminatory nature of the Sociology of Change class, as well as the identity confessions and labeling, which Defendants in a mid-November meeting would concede was “encouraged.” Principal Johnson dismissed Plaintiffs’ concerns, instead delivering a lecture on the virtues of “intersectionality” theory that inspired the class, and should inspire them. He denied the class had anything to do with “Critical Race Theory.” He told Plaintiffs that the course was required for graduation and he would not allow William to opt out of participation."

    https://justthenews.com/sites/default/files/2021-06/Nevada CRT amended complaint.pdf

See what the principal did there? He denied the course had anything to do with CRT, and then proceeded to lecture the Plaintiffs on "intersectionality theory" - a core component of CRT, according to many CRT proponents, and is included in Critical Race Theory: An Introduction.

This is how this garbage is getting smuggled into public education.

Like I said, the "No True CRT Fallacy" is alive and well.

Like my other post demonstrates, though, it's being smuggled in part into public schools with different names.

    That's where we part ways.

6 year olds don't study law. Neither do undergraduates or anyone in between.
