Say what you mean (even again) if you care that much. I'm not surprised that I could/did miss it, considering how much many have said.

Then you didn't listen to well. I said that the Government isn't doing it's job. Gun manufacture get paid to manufacture guns, nothing more. The American people have their choice of what they want to buy. So for you to sit there and call the American people that outnumber those of you that want to take the majority of our guns away because you know NOTHING about them isn't the smartest road you can walk. Just so you know, we, the gun owners, HAVE been trying to hold those in governments feet to the fire but the gun grabbers of America refuse to look at the real problem.

Is spitting on the side walk against the law??? Absolutely. When was the last time you ever heard of someone being prosecuted for it??? Not the gun owners of America but rather the Prosecutors of America aren't doing their job when it comes to gun laws. So let's get the laws on the books enforced before we try enacting more laws. Isn't that the smart place to start?? Haven't people pointed this out to you time and time again but you chose to ignore it??? The background check laws are there but once more the Government refuse to enforce them so WHAT good would it do to pass MORE background check laws that wouldn't be enforced??? If a law is impractical such as the spitting on the sidewalk law is silly now, get rid of it!!

People may not all agree about guns. But it needs to be said that the anti-regulation side of this issue does not have perfect or unassailable logic. In fact, there is a chord that is beginning to resonate throughout the nation (despite a weak Congress that can see right now to pass nothing significant). And that chord is sounding a message that the American people are READY to do more than merely TALK about gun violence; they are ready and willing to change laws which govern this CULTURE.

I'm not anti-self defense or anti-2nd Amendment... but it seems that ANY criticism of the status quo that one directs toward the anti-regulation crowd, brings back paranoia, Chicken Little expressions of fear and a certain intransigence that for now I only wish to meet with my determination to resist.

These folks don't seem reasonable to me, for the most part; they throw around "facts" as if THEIR conclusions are all that could be garnered from those facts. And they also seem to have an aversion to accepting just how FED UP people are with gun violence in this society; it's a profound fault i see in the anti-regulation crowd.

Even so, I found a decent article that had no "perfect" or bumper-sticker answers to all these problems out here, but it is at least something to consider, the next time someone who thinks that STATUS QUO is the only way to go.

Admittedly, the anti-regulation side has its logic and facts, but so does the other side.

    Once more, here are some of the things you say you want enacted but they are already there;

    http://www.chron.com/opinion/outloo...laws-need-to-be-strictly-enforced-4446223.php

""For that matter, the Obama administration has not adequately enforced the 2007 NICS Improvement Amendments Act, whose supporters include everyone from the NRA to the Brady Campaign. Passed unanimously by Congress following the Virginia Tech shootings, this law requires states to submit the mental-health records of individuals deemed unfit to own a firearm, and it provides grant funding as a reward mechanism.""

    http://www.standard.net/stories/2013/04/16/present-gun-control-laws-not-always-enforced
""There are ample gun control laws already in place, by both states and the federal government. They have not been enforced over the years. If they were good laws, why are they not enforced? If they were not good laws, why were they passed? Oft repeated, criminals will not apply for a gun permit, risking a background check. Persons with mental disabilities do not know they need to apply for a gun permit. Passing new gun control laws only restrict the law abiding. I don’t like it.

Along the same thinking, we have had workable immigration laws for many years—not enforced. Persons who come across our borders sans permits or visas are committing a crime. Why do politicians think that persons living in our country illegally, will expose themselves to law enforcement if new laws are passed. I have never understood passing laws that are supposedly effective and proper, and not enforcing them""

At Target World, a Sharonville gun shop and shooting range, assistant manager Jeff Mann told 2 News there were already more than 3,000 gun laws on the books, including those prohibiting those termed as "mentally unstable" by the courts purchase guns.

"Those gun laws are not enforced as aggressively as they should be," said Mann.

    Etc,etc,etc, etc................................................................................

Stop trying to say that we have the laws we need; I KNOW that we DO NOT. And if some law is there, it is apparently too weak to bother enforcing or we have allowed non-enforcement for political reasons. Just FIX the laws.

I'm no LAWYER... I just know things must change; and that has not happened yet.

We are NOT anti-regulation. That laws that are already there need to stay there but they need to be enforced!!! As far as your weak congress goes, do you want to see Democrats re-elected??? Those that voted against the new gun laws did so to stay in office. Because their constituents would have voted them out if they had of said yes. THAT'S the American people speaking. If you REALLY want to see change then get on your Congressman's butt and insist that they push to enforce existing laws. THAT's the place to start. Once those laws are enforced then let's see IF we need more laws

Brady. Nuff Said. If you believe this then you should believe anything the NRA says.

FYI, criminals don't give a shyte about the Brady law.
