translation-he doesn't buy into your desire to ban things so you assume he doesn't care about gun violence. In reality, the only thing gun banners care about when it comes to gun violence is how they can use incidents of violence to further their gun banning goals

I just want your guns because when we try to implement mandatory gender transitions for kids, and impose communism, i don't want all you tiny little William Wallace's to revolt against our AI drag queen rulers, and ruining all our plans.

And thus, the ignorance of the anti-gun left, revealed.
    Mission accomplished.

How about we equip the school with armed guards on the entrances and metal detectors, the same way we protect courthouses which have never had a mass shooting, instead of that. Ok Champ?

Obviously someone cares because anti-gunners make these claims pretty regular. My favorite will always be the Army colonel that demonstrated, "full semi-automatic", on CNN, or MSNBC. That was some funny ****.

The anti-gunners will never go for that. It'll bring school shootings to nearly zero. Their agenda can't afford that.

most gun banners really don't care about guns, few care about actually decreasing crime. They see gun owners as their political enemy and gun control as a weapon they can use

The 9mm is more lethal, so your defense of the ignorant comment falls flat.

They can't take total control as long as the citizenry is armed. Gun bans = total government control.

I doubt the typical anti-gun leftist is aware that there are different types of .223 rounds. But for sake of argument...I wonder if we all agreed to a ban of the .223 that the AR concern would go away. I mean...the AR15 is chambered in 55 different calibers...the AR10 around 40 different caliber types...so as long as we didnt have the .223/5.56...everything would be fine...right?

Or is the theory that the barrel on an AR (keeping in mind that there are also multiple barrel types and lengths) has magical properties that makes ALL calibers particularly unique and more deadly.

A REGULAR bullet, as you well know, is a .22LR and is the preferred round used by mobsters to kill snitches....

Well, as a trigger happy, wicked, evil and greedy old White devil oppressor, it certainly is refreshing to finally get the inside scoop on the pending Commie take over.

Just don't tell my slaves about that Emancipation thing I've been keeping quiet about.

    Y'all come on down...

Do you really think that a 9mm Luger round from a 5 inch barrel has greater terminal ballistics than a 5.56 x 45mm coming from a 14 inch barrel.

For the sake of comparison, let's say that both are ball ammunition.

    Thanks,

I couldn't find the quote you gave in that article, or indeed the word "regular" at all. In general, it seemed very clear and detailed in exactly what it was comparing (rifle rounds fired from an AR-15 vs 9mm rounds fired from a handgun) and the fact that muzzle velocity and fire-rate are the key differences. It's a complex area and there will be multiple factors that influence the outcome for any given victim shot with any given firearm, but is anything in that article that you could highlight as factually wrong?

    I know that a 9mm round has more penetration than a .223.

The deliberate omission that nearly all rifle bullets perform similarly.

There is a slight difference between the. .223 and the 5.56 x 45mm round.

Did you do your own research using a block of wood to reach your conclusion?

    Thanks,

The bullets are the same. For commercial loadings, there's not enough difference to matter.

Like types. FMJ vs. FMJ, since FMJ bullets have more penetration. Obviously, fragmenting projectiles in either caliber is going to have less penetration than FMJ.

The claim was: a .223/5.56 has too much penetration for a "crowded apartment building". Any medium caliber, or larger, firing an FMJ projectile is going to have too much penetration for for sheetrock, probably.

It could be nitpicked to death, "a .410 won't shoot trough apartment walls", or WTF-ever.

At the end of the day it comes down to one thing and one thing only: marksmanship. Hitting your target. An hollow point round isn't going to penetrate a human torso and an apartment wall, too.

It doesn’t matter what any definition is anyway. What it boils down to is they will continue to attack anything gun related until it’s gone. You take away the AR then the deadliest gun will be semi autos, then the the bolt action will look deadly so then they’ll go after those, then the lever action will look deadly so they’ll go after those, then the shotguns, then the revolvers and then nothing. Every time they take away the deadliest weapon their will naturally be a new deadliest weapon because they refuse to address the demoralization of our culture. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.

I think guns are here to stay-unless phasers or light sabers make them obsolete
