Game of Thrones is British? I didn't realize that. It's my new favorite thing to watch. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the second season on disc.

Speaking of second seasons out on disc, I need to pick up Sherlock. I'm a bit sick of Benedict Cumberbatch at this point, but I still love the show.

I like the way the Brits organize their series/seasons. Three great episodes is a much better deal than twenty-two crappy ones.

I stand corrected, Game of Thrones isn't primarily British,, but most of the leading actors are.

I'm halfway through the second season of Game of Thrones on DVD. It gets even darker.

To hell we do , Dingo Boy .
As you know to your eternal shame , we have half a dozen outstanding bowlers currently and even our midget one stands 6 feet and 4 inches .
I think that after a few startling failures , Don -- who was a real midget ----would have quickly retired .
I just missed seeing him play , though tragically a Pom bowled him on his last Test appearance for a Quacker .

Raymondo, you should probably lighten up a little, no one's taking a pop at the Brits and even if they were, who cares?

I'll give my opinion as a Brit ex-pat.

A funny nation but not as funny as the Irish, who are world beaters IMO.
Claim to hate the French, but secretly are jealous.
    Drink too much.
Produce world class music and TV.
Let their nation be ravaged by politicians and big business.
    Work too long hours.
Have forgotten how to enjoy themselves.
    Produce world class beer.
    Produce world class cheese.
On the whole, are the same as any other country; good and bad people.
Should get over their colonial past.

I had dinner with Martin Barre and his wife a few years ago, and have had several very nice email exchanges with Glen Cornick. Guess I'm a bit of a Tull fan too!

    Nice!

When I was at the Tull concert in Sydney 1996, only Ian Anderson and Martin Barre were from the original line up (well kind of). Ian Anderson was in a wheel chair after an on stage mishap in Lima Peru, he apparently fell off the stage and pulled a number of ligaments out of his knee,,but that didn't stop them from putting on a fabulous show. Their rendition of Mother Goose, for me was the highlight of the concert.

Next time you run into Mr Barre, give him my regards, from a very long standing fan.

I still reckon, Benefit is their best album.

I'll do that; he frequents my local guitar shop here in Exeter. (He lives a few miles away). I like Benefit a lot; but I think 'This Was' and 'Stand Up' are equally good, although Anderson wanted to get away from the more 'Bluesy' first record, resulting in the totally different Tull we heard in Stand Up.

I had This Was, Stand Up, Benefit, Aqualung, Living in the Past, Think as a Brick and Storm Watch all on vinyl and now on CD. I also have Living With the Past both on CD and DVD.

    Showing my age huh?

British society is for whatever reason hypersensitive. I am familiar with UK knife laws over their. Had a first hand experience of some unarmed police officer telling me how a multi-tool I carried (and even got checked through an American airport) was an offensive weapon. So I just gave him my 60 dollar leatherman and laughed at his face. One vacation I won't forget.

I also don't have a lot of respect for your Government structure. Nowhere does it indicate that the UK citizen is anything other than a subject of the crown. The only Sovereign person is the monarch and those sovereign powers where merely given in trust to parliament. The people of the UK have zero rights, only priviledges granted to the people by power of Parliament which can and sometimes are revoked by Parliament for very arbitrary reasons.

Also, I have been following the rise of Islamic Immigration to Britain for the past couple years and I have read stories of people being prosecuted for speaking ill of Islam. Which is unacceptable to me. Churches being sued and prosecuted for saying Homosexuality is a sin, or that Muhammad was a false prophet. I am not even a believer in Christ and see that as unacceptable.

You English used to have a proud culture and heritage. Americans would go to the UK and see a wonderful history of castles, elaborate houses in countryside where former famous aristocrats dwelled. Now, all I see is another province of the European Union and people using Immigration to marginalize the people of Britain and being conditioned to accept a far left world view where only the opinions of the State and those who are non-indigenous to the Island matter or are acceptable.

These acts, will only force more and more indigenous Britons to the far-right and we all know what happens when Europeans go to the far-right.

Sorry, I'm quitting smoking but there is my rant.

The ones who criticize the U.S., I laugh at. Otherwise, hot accent when its coming from the right female and some good music. The humor is stop and go. Sometimes I don't get it and other times its hilarious. Oh yeah, you guys have some messed up teeth for a country with UHC=)

The only thing really disturbing is the royal family. Not sure why those people are held in any sort of high regard at all.

America pretty much loves England. We're pals and such.

Unfortunately, Progressive commies are taking over our countries, and destroying the world with lies, and the promise of free stuff.

How do you figure? Ok, I grant the fact that the US stayed out of WW2, until they were brought into it by being attacked by Japan, but none the less the relationship with England and the US has been very amicable. As a first generation Canadian, whose family all immigrated from England, to both Canada and the US, I speak first hand of thier opinions, which think highly of Americans. Mind you that being said they are also highly disappointed by what England has become.

Well yes, I wasn't meaning that the Americans hid in the dark recesses of thier land, I meant they did not fight in the war, until Japan attacked.

The country didnt declare war, no, but Americans did fight voluntarily.

American pilots went to england and china voluntarily to fight.

We don't have pals just business partners. All we have is us, Welsh, English, Irish and Scots.

Britain is disappointed with what America is, was and will be.

Yeah, we use you. Don't take it personal, it's just business interests that keep us in agreement but in reality and behind closed doors we look at america with disdain. Don't tell anyone k.
