Ya, I'm not too fond of Cockney accents I guess.

I do like the language barrier, that is a lot of fun, since I have, on more then one occasion had to translate...lol
"Someone earning a good screw". = a person who earns a good living
"I've been diddled!" = a person whose been had

I keep wondering why it is that people keep expecting me to feel the same way about every member of a given ethnic group.
I've run into a good many Brits on line. Some are (*)(*)(*)(*)ed interesting to talk to regardless of political affiliation and knowlegeable in a goodly number of areas. Others are just complete wastes of bandwidth who have never had an original thought in their lives.

I have some good friends who are Brits.
    I like them a lot.

Two of them have made northern Alabama their permanent home.
One of them (a Welshman) has to report back to the Royal Navy in December.
I will miss him and his wife.
    They are awesome people.

I like the British. I think they are very smart people, although they have made some pretty dumb mistakes in the past. The Middle East being one big one. But who are we to complain about mistakes?

I also don't like that you have kept small Ireland divided for so long. That country should be united again.

But all in all, I think I can say that the British are our closes Allies and I can't see that ever changing again.

Now if you guys only learned how to talk English. I had a hard time understanding some of you when vacationing over there a few years ago.

Individually or collectively? I'll say this: I'm sure you're fine people just like any other country, but we left there because it sucks.

One other complaint. What do you mean you don't have rye bread over there? That's unAmerican. Although you say you have it, I couldn't find any peanut butter. For an old country, you guys are sure backwards. Don't know what's good.

We do have rye bread and peanut butter, the latter being found in pretty much any grocery store/supermarket in the UK! If we didn't have peanut butter I would of emigrated to the US long long ago!

We all have our faults, and peanut butter is as widespread as hay-fever. Wanting to go as far as the USA to get it, however, does seem a bit like adiction gone mad!

If I were to judge all Brits off most of the ones who post at this forum, I'd say the whole lot of them were pompous blowhards, with a undeserved sense of arrogance. But, I won't go that far.

The best people ever to exist. The world would be in chaos without the British.

Not that I'm biased or anything...

It's nice your patriotic. I like England. I like the British accent. It sounds kinda neat. You guys speak English, which is also pretty cool. Much of your cultural customs and heritage is engrained in American culture. Let's not forget England's greatest gift to the wold though:

Do Brits even warrant an opinion anymore? Trusted lapdogs in their government, yet offset by their insidious love of soccer of all things, and we shant forget the War of 1812... Hmmm... Nope, no warrant for opinion here...

Oh damn, they do make Boddington's Pub Ale, I guess they can't suck too much...

Your links don't work but I get the gist and agree with your premise. Never met an Irishman or woman I didn't like having spent some time in Cork and Waterford. There was this girl in Waterford, Rachel...

That's true, but oddly it's the US that gets most of the blame for their evil deeds and failures now...
