When is the CDC gonna demand US borders be closed to immigration?

The CDC is recommending the use of masks even for the fully vaccinated to prevent the spread of the new Covid variant. I'm just wondering when the CDC is going to recommend the US borders be closed to immigration in an attempt to prevent the spread of the new Covid variant?

Is there any issue that Republicans and conservatives get nuts over relatively trivial issues? Blocking 100% of all illegals would not even be a blip.

And if all Americans would get vaccinated, that problem of illegals getting COVID would be greatly reduced.

Every airport is a border. 130 million people visit Florida in a typical year, so to close the border would mean stopping air traffic to/from Florida, which the governor will never do.

News flash: The new Covid variant, Delta, came from outside of the US so, if outside of the US entities were restricted from entering the US, the US wouldn't have Delta Covid cases to worry about. Duh.

So, if I'm following your logic, should US citizens be prohibited from traveling to countries with the Delta active? Or should they not have been permitted to return home? What about the requirement of a negative test and quarantining? Wouldn't that solve the problem?
