Yes, it has been enforced all along, and they just RENEWED it aka decided to continue to enforce it. You could just look into facts as opposed repeating something you heard in some TV channel. Every month this year they have expelled between 70 000 and 115 000 illegals every month, including families, and they have used Title 42 as a justification for it. CBP says it is causing lot of people to make multiple attempts, but the fact remains that it is being enforced.

The fact is that bus loads of illegals are being released to Catholic Charities who are then putting said illegals up in hotels in border Texas towns. I don't know how you'd interpret that but I'd say that's not sending illegals back to their countries of origin to await their immigration trial.

The biggest surge occurred in Jan-Feb this year (months after the protests ended) and again now, so not sure how the Floyd protests could have constituted to it. No doubt, they did contribute to some extent, but there was no surge when they were talking place. Luck maybe, - I don't know.

Masks do help in minimizing the spread.
