Which is worse?

Which would have been worse?

  1. being repeatedly molested and having your anus torn

    60.0%
  2. being ABORTED at 22 weeks

    40.0%

If you were forced to choose between one or the other, would you rather have been molested as a 3 year old child, or aborted as a 22 week old baby your mother's womb?

(Keep in mind that babies have been prematurely born at 22 weeks and survived)

I'd rather be aborted than molested at that age and then be screwed in the head for the rest of my life due to the molestation and possibly become a molester myself from the experience thus ruining many other children's lives.

So suppose you had already been molested. Would you then prefer to be "aborted", since you would not want to live with being screwed up for the rest of your life?

Probably. Most kids who are sexually abused are suicidal or commit suicide.

So what else do you think an abortion is better than? Growing up in poverty?
If so, would that mean euthenizing all the infants in poor households would not be such a terrible thing?

Is abortion better than racial discrimination too? Then maybe all the little black babies are better off aborted.
(seems that "choicers" don't seem to have a problem with this, btw)

No, YOU were the one who wanted half black babies aborted.....and your continual use of an insensitive old name for a Swedish desert and it 's introduction in thread where it is off topic proves where you stand on racial issues.

I have NEVER read in here or anywhere else of Pro-Choicers wanting blacks aborted...ever.... it was YOU!

What? Now you want to change the premise of your thread and drag your own thread off topic? lol

I am pretty sure you have no problem with black babies being aborted, particularly if they are interracial black children, or did you forget already?

If that's not off-topic, I do not know what is. Seems to me that you know abortion (at least late-term) is worse than molestation. Easier to try to change the topic than defend the indefensible.

22 Weeks is not late term. 22 Weeks is second trimester.

Abortion is not worse than molestation. The fetus feels nothing when it is aborted. The child lives with the emotional and psychological pain of their sexual abuse forever.

Are you saying a prematurely born baby is incapable of feeling pain? How many weeks exactly does it take before this congenital analgesia goes away in these cases?

So what if we shoot up a 3 year old child with sedatives? So that he cannot feel anything.

Interesting how progressives see emotional suffering, financial difficulties, inconvenience, and "gender inequality" as a fate worse than death itself.

No, I am saying what I just said. A 22 week old fetus cannot feel pain. I said NOTHING about premature babies.

I don't know. No one does in fact as
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neonatal_perception

Is that what you want to do?

Really? 22 weeks is well into the pregnancy...

    http://www.mccl.org/unborn-babies-can-feel-pain.html

Besides, whether or not it is okay to kill someone else hardly rests on whether or not the death is painful.
If you could feel your limbs being ripped out of your body, but all the pain receptors in your body were selectively deactivated, would that not still be a disturbing scary experience? Especially in the darkness of the womb, unable to see what was actually going on.

How about you post evidence of fetal pain from an unbiased website, perhaps one with real Scientific proof.

I do have one question though, why does pain matter? If it was proven that the fetus does not feel pain ever would you suddenly be ok with abortion for any trimester?

Absolutely not! A fetus aborted at any time will never have consciensness, so it would NEVER suffer from anything.

A child molested, especially violently and with physical in addition to psychological trauma will suffer to some extend for all his/her life.

Seems suspiciously convenient. Just deny the unborn are capable of consciousness, and then use that to justify their extermination. I would think this is an important ethical question that needs to be investigated, when human consciousness begins. Who knows? It may turn out little infants are not actually conscious either, and then medical experiments can be performed on them for the benefit of those with chronic diseases.

But consciousness and pain are really besides the point. Just because a human being is unconscious does not justify their murder.

We could also argue about stages of development, for example, that the fetus cannot see, as the development of sight develops quite late in the development of the fetus. But what does it really matter whether the fetus is capable of seeing or not? It is completely dark in the womb anyway, even if the eyes were fully functional the fetus would still not be able to see anything. And what about the blind? Does lack of eyesight make them any less of a person?

It is actually quite difficult to define what consciousness actually is. The best minds in psychology have not been able to come to any real agreement. Freud racked his brains out trying to figure out what it is. Computer scientists have been trying to understand what it really means to be self-aware in their attempts to design artificial consciousness. It is a very nebulous concept. It may well be impossible to determine exactly where consciousness begins. And yet pro-abortionists completely dismiss any possibility of consciousness inside the womb, prefering to just brush these worrying ethical considerations aside.

Okay, I know it is a little late in the thread to be posing another hypothetical scenario, but just consider this:

Would it be worse for a 3 year old child to be molested, or would it be worse for this 3 year old child to be placed inside a thick rubber bag and have his legs torn off with big metal pinchers, and then finally have his skull crushed by a giant metal instrument? All while the child was still alive. Would it really matter so much whether the child had been drugged unconscious before the ordeal?

Suppose his mother did not really want him anyway, or suppose his family was low income. Would that make it all okay?

Next time you post. I wonder if you will bring the idea that, after all, spermatozoids may also have consciousness and "feelings" so that we really need to outlaw masturbation and "wet dreams" as this might take away those little buggers' right to swim toward that specifically targeted egg and deprive them from participating in that ultimate competition to "become!"

I wonder if you realize how silly your extreme concepts are?

And I believe a psychologist would probably be quite interested in your seemingly obsessive focus on torturing 3 year old kids!

How sick and cruel to advocate for harming children....and YES I would rather have a pregnancy aborted and the child never know anything about life, including the horrific pain of rape......YOU want them to feel the pain....that's sick

You know he says abortion for the retarded and for interracial fetuses. Do you agree with him on that?

As if the people on your side all agree on everything. Some of you think the fetus is human...some don't...some of you believe viability matters...some don't. And the ones of you who do believe in viability can't figure out when it is....20 weeks....24 weeks.....22 1/2 weeks...who knows. You people are all over the place.

A pointless poll as it only adheres to the thinking of the person starting the thread and is obviously tainted to produce results the author thinks will enable him to go after the pro-choice people .. not worthy of time or energy.
