McDonald's put cartoons of the Coronavirus on their fries container and now those looking for love can broadcast their vaccine status to potential mates. I am not liking this hard sell climate going on.

    What do you think?

So much for government staying out of the bedroom. LOL

    In advertising, sex sells.

Seems like a product that can save you from certain death ought to sell itself on it’s own merits.

    That’s all I’ve got...

Why should McDonalds or the government give a damn about whether a person should be injected with a dangerous cocktail to supposedly protect against a virus with a 99% survival rate?

Because there is an agenda to advance, and that agenda IS NOT public health.

Not just McDonalds, but Budweiser, Sam Adams and so many more corporations like the airlines.

My theory is that the end goal is population control, but there are likely other motives including juicy profits for pharma.

I agree with you that something is amiss. They are pushing this way too hard. I'm just not sure the agenda is population control. If that were the case, why not do nothing and let the virus and variants sweep through the country?

When did the federal government ever make the decision whom you slept with?

I just think it’s funny how people want government uninvolved with sex and marriage until they perceive some benefit to themselves personally of government involvement in sex or marriage.

That's usually the way it works. A friend of mine had her parents' home burned down. They literally lived 500 feet outside township lines. The fire trucks showed up to watch it and refused to lift a finger saying it's their own fault for not moving to an incorporated area. So, most of want our freedoms but some don't know that freedom is not free.

Because the virus is survived by 99% of those who get it. The virus is seldom fatal. There are 2 outstanding cures for the virus, HCQ and Ivermectin, not to mention a strong immune system bolstered by good nutrition including vitamins and minerals.

Though the virus is seldom fatal, it was engineered by mad scientists. All the honest scientists seem to agree on that, and of course there is a paper trail, never talked about by the mainstream media.

The truly diabolical agenda becomes apparent with the injections. In recent tests with the injections, 107 pregnant women participated, among others. 107 women in their first trimester took the shot. 96 of them miscarried. Pretty much the same phenomenon happened with the pregnant rats, but it was 100% of the pregnant rats.

The reports of bleeding and highly irregular menses are in the thousands, but of course not a word of that mentioned by the corporate media.

To my suspicious mind, the silence of the media and the overt actions of so many corporations reveal that the agenda is very dark.

    Amazing story!

That’s insanity. I hope that family and all their neighbors took their business to another town and never paid any more sales tax in that town.

Here we have mutual aid agreements between departments so everyone is covered regardless of location.

This is another great example of the iron law of bureaucracy.
In the case above the fire department was more concerned about not spending money on a family that didn’t pay city property tax. They were unconcerned with actually putting out fires—the correct goal of a fire department. Instead, the goal became ensuring the bureaucracy survived by prioritizing financials above the mission.

In the case of mutual aid agreements between volunteer departments there is little to no bureaucracy to protect. The mission is always putting out fires because no paychecks or employment status are at risk. People help put out fires for others because they know when the shoe is on the other foot the others will help put out their fire. Nobody is particularly concerned with what township someone else’s property tax goes to.

yep, and in this case the gov is not forcing anyone to do anything, the right just don't like it, cause they don't want potential dates to know

The virus made dating quite a bit more difficult for single folks. For those who are still uncomfortable being around unvaccinated people, this part of their app addresses that. I don't see it as a conspiracy or anything like that - just an update to information app users might want to know.

I don't see it as a right or left issue. I know vaxxers and non-vaxxers from both parties.

it's not really a issue, dating apps could put many things on there that they think people might want to know before a date, race, gender, age, job status, hair color, smoker, the list goes on and on

Correct. My point was that it's not just those on the right that don't want others to know their vaccine status.

True. And the left applaud knowing Covid vaccination status but don’t care if sexual partners know HIV status. It’s a crazy world.

I think the government should let nutty leftists and righties do their thing without aligning with either.

I support HIV laws that require a person to disclose they have HIV prior to sex.... don't you?

I even support criminal penalties against a cheating souse that gets a VD and puts their spouse at risk and they catch it, as the spouse has a right to know they are in danger (maybe dating apps could ask martial status too)

but in this case, they are just asking dating apps to offer the option for people to voluntarily disclose this information, no law requiring it to be asked or answered

If you had asked me 15 years ago if I supported criminalization of drugs I would have answered in the affirmative. Today I’m opposed to criminalization of drugs. Why? Because I educated myself on unintended consequences of such laws, both legally speaking and for society as a whole.

Today I’m changing my opinion on criminalization of nondisclosure of HIV status for the same reason. So short answer—no—today I can’t support traditional HIV disclosure law.

Perhaps the world would have less heartache if instead of banging everything that makes us hard or wet we based relationships more on character, compatibility of values, and trust.
How about criminal penalties against cheating spouses that put their spouse and children at lifelong risk of mental illness, substance abuse, propensity to violence, and suicide? Why just focus on STD’s? I’ll bet dollars to donuts deaths from other negative consequences of cheating outnumber STD deaths from cheating by a wide margin. As a society we don’t even want to know, so the statistics don’t exist. I’m happy to be presented with empirical evidence to the contrary.
But why for Covid? Why not ask them to have a spot to disclose HPV vaccination data? Or Hepatitis? Or influenza vaccination status for that matter. Influenza kills tens of thousands each year by inducing heart attacks. Certainly we don’t want to combine the exertions of coitus with a heart already in danger from influenza infection! :)

I disagree, when you are about to have sex with someone, I think you need to disclose that

not for other purposes, but sex, yes, you need to disclose it

"Perhaps the world would have less heartache if instead of banging everything that makes us hard or wet we based relationships more on character, compatibility of values, and trust."

and honesty, how can anyone trust someone that doesn't value the others health

but your right, maybe we just have a spot for "are you anti-vax", cover all the vaccines

LOL. Sure. When you are “about” to get laid by a stranger is when humans are most likely to be honest about everything! Especially STD’s.

But of course it should be disclosed. I’m all for disclosure. Long before getting it on. :)

Just for fun, can you name some unintended consequences of criminalization of HIV non-disclosure? If not, should you be able to do so before advocating for such laws?
Hmmm. I would throw needle sharing in there but that’s just me. Size of the penetrator matters. LOL
Sure. I think dating/hookup sites are for profit. If they think it’s good for business I’m sure they would have been doing it already.

You should know whether you can trust someone before getting naked with them. Not being vaccinated is not a litmus test for trustworthiness or how much one cares about the health of others.

I can think of none, I think one should always disclose they have HIV before having sex with someone

it would only be a crime though it they gave the person hiv

The demographic that dies of and transmits HIV the most doesn’t get tested because of disclosure laws. How is that helping them?

A demographic experiencing over representation in prosecutions is pregnant women who fear violent retribution from male partners so don’t disclose. These laws also effect a disproportionate number of migrant women in many countries. Most feminist groups now oppose these laws because women can’t avoid testing as easily as men. Even though prenatal testing is optional most women don’t realize the potential consequences of opting in.

Opting out of prenatal testing can result in other negative consequences for the mother and fetus. It’s a no win situation for many.

Another demographic that foregoes testing to protect themselves from liability is sex workers. This actually increases likelihood of spreading HIV instead of decreasing spread. In some states sex workers were subject to more sever penalties for nondisclosure than other people. Some states have figured out the unintended consequences of this and amended laws to be more equal.

this is true, some will never get tested, doesn't mean it should be legal to trick people into getting it
