Its a shame that there are so many children in America who are poorly educated and/or have never been to a planetarium or a natural history museum. Many who have never seen the ocean or flown in an airplane.

Only from Denver to San Diego, and only once. Why do you ask, are you going to try and tell me you seen the curve from an airplane? If so, hold yourself from that one. Because even your scientists say it's impossible, you have to be at least 100,000 to 120,000 ft. Yet amateur balloon footage at that height, shows it to be flat.

Why would the sun do this if it's 93 million miles away? Can you explain that? I'm referring to the link directly underneath. With this video I will be able to tell if you or whoever knows what a go-pro or wide-angle camera is.

That might be. However, if there was ever a poster who seems to actually believe the nonsense he spews it would be jrr777, at least on this forum. That, or he is a POE par excellence.

What does this have to do with the fact that you did not answer my question about why water does not all drain off the edge of the earth ?
The fact that water flows downhill due to gravity is repeatable "real" science.

You completely avoided all my questions .... "again" so I will repeat them ... again.

What are those "Objects aka satellites" moving quickly across the sky at night ?

Why (if you track position) do these objects pass on a regular basis ( so many times per day) in the same place in the sky, and "always going the same direction". If the earth was flat they would have to go back an forth across the sky.

Is this something the "Masters" set up to trick us ? Why is it, in places that have no cell phone service, a "Satellite Phone" works ?

There are industries full of people - some of them private - in numerous countries that work directly in the manufacture of satellites or indirectly in various support industries or at the companies that make rockets that take these satellites into space. Is this all some big "conspiracy" to trick you ? What would be the point ? Where is the motive.

Where are all these airline pilots coming forward saying "Yeah man .. I fly to the edge of the earth on a regular basis.

Where does the water go when it flows off the edge of the earth ?????????? So much for your belief in the- Global Flood Myth. There would be no friggen water !

If the earth is flat ... then how deep can you drill before getting to the other side and what is the source of the geothermal heat and the temperature gradient as you go down ???

Gosh.. I have been on airplanes 250 times or more.. since props became turbo props became Jets....... and I did watch Sputnik camping on the beach in Saudi Arabia..

I had one of those fathers who was an MIT chemical engineer with an MBA from Harvard.. so he took us to see the first ARAMCO computers.. He took us to watch Sputnik.. He took us to planetariums and natural history museums and to the Holy lands and every zoo and museum in Europe.

He pointed out why we saw the tops of the shrimp boats on the horizon in Pass Christian.. He showed us the glow of plankton in the ocean..

    You were screwed...

Well I could lay it out to you in more simple rhetoric but I have no intention of prolonging this exchange nor impugning your IQ.

Impressive linguistic aptitude. Intelligence comes in many forms - some are good at art, some at math, some at understanding people and/or politics (these folks often find themselves as managers or high position despite lack of aptitude in much else), some at science, some at language, some in philosophy, some in inventing and fixing, and so on.

Folks claiming high IQ's do not impress me and nor do titles (Doctor, Lawyer, Ph.D) I have found that idiots exist in all classes within their area of expertise - never mind when they venture opinions outside their expertise such as thinking that having a Ph.D in Chemistry qualifies someone as an expert in social or political issues.

The Joke in industry is when an Engineer gets that ring on their finger they magically become experts in everything !

That's very perceptive. I've just replied to another member on another thread confirming my and his belief that 'intelligent individuals seldom have any basic common sense'. And as you suggest, the same can be said of the competence or incompetence of professionals as well. It's a thin line between true experts and charlatans.

    An excellent question indeed!

More on this was explained to Rick Joyner in a visionary dream of heaven.....

The Scofield heresy only came about after the 1830s .. and was really promoted during the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression at traveling tent revivals.

The people that preach such stuff always seem to want your money.

I really do not know if I may be reiterating something already posted; but the OP was just too long for me to read through it all.

In order to come to an understanding as to the proper interpretation of the Book of Revelation (or any part thereof), it is first necessary to decide upon the proper method of interpretation.

Basically, there are four such methods:

    (1) The poetic method. This method is generally favored by liberal scholars.

It holds that there are no actual, historical events being described in the Book of Revelation; rather, it is just a very vivid description of the certain victory of The Forces of God over The Forces of Satan.

    (2) The preterist method. This method holds that the entire Book of Revelation--including even the (much ballyhooed) Battle of Armageddon--was fulfilled prior to the end of the first century.

    (3) The continuous historical method. This method was favored by most of the Reformers.

It holds that the Book of Revelation is a chronicle of the church, from the first century until the Eschaton (i.e. the End Times).

    (4) The futurist method. This is the method generally favored by televangelists.

This method holds that the entire Book of Revelation (with the exception of the part, early on, about the "seven churches of Asia") is centered upon the Eschaton.

One must first decide upon a method of interpretation before plunging ahead to a specific interpretation.

    O
Don't forget to take into account that much of the Book of Revelations is simply taken from the Tanakh, with additions to suit Christianity. Even the Essenes had their own Book of Revelations, with their own additions.
I agree with Margot. It was 'of the time'. It's imagery disguised to confuse the Romans, while the Jews would recognise their own scriptures

You may want to look up Chaismic structure in Revelation. There is more to it than most assume; it's actually a fairly complex reference to many other books, in the OT especially, and ties together a lot of converging theological points. Up to you if you buy the research into it or not, but it certainly adds a new level and layer of exegesis on it.

So are you, but that's beside the point. Revelation is indeed about future events, and it was obviously assembled before the Roman destruction of the Temple, not to mention Christians faced more severe persecutions under Jewish and Persian states later on, and again under Lucinius and two other Emperors in the Four Emperors period, much more severe.
