When someone is being called a Jew that means that the person is either, an ethnic Jew (Semite), or a follower of Judaism. That’s why many are confused because one can become a Jew by being born to a Jewish family and inheriting the ethnicity, or one can accept Judaism faith. Becoming a Jew requires one to ask to be accepted - they learn the customs and faith and might even be turned down, but once accepted into the faith, Jews will always treat you as a natural born Jew. That’s why one can be born to be a Jew, or become a Jew later. Contrary to some comments I saw earlier, it’s easy to stop being a Jew - you simply stop identifying as one, as there are virtually no documents in the western world that identify someone by their inherited ethnicity.

So for example, there used to be here a group of dwarf like people called Cagots and who (of course) were socially inferior. For the usual reasons. However other children who were born as a dwarf were not born of Cagot parents/family. If a child is born of Jewish parents, it will inherit certain mitochonrdrial genetic arrangements. But other children not born of Jewish parents can also be born with the same code. IOW certain genetic code are present elsewhere and do not indicate Jewishness. It is the :all Jews carry the same genetic code but not all those with that code are Jewish.

I read that one Hebraic meaning of the word Israel is: "let God prevail." With that in mind, wherever God is allowed to prevail, there is Israel, or the children of Israel in spirit. As a gentile, this gives me a delightful excitement that the God of the Jews is a God of truth. And that the offspring of Abraham are subservient to the spirit, moreso than made righteous by virtue of lineage alone. But who or whatever God says that I am, I am. Because his judgments are just. And my heart his to break at his leisure. As it is better to be set aright by God than to go smoothly to hell.
Then there is no jewish gene since it is always evolving into a new genetic sequence with every new non jewish convert. No scientist could therefore accurately establish what that genetic blueprint was. But ithink we all knew that anyway.

Whoopi Goldberg should not have said what she said in the first place which got her in trouble with certain people if you know what I mean. I have nothing against Jewish people or anyone else. We as people should judge others by their content of character like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had said. What did she mean that the Holocaust happened that there was no racist thing. The Holocaust had to go with the genocide of killing the Jews because they were Jews and Hitler and his followers believed that Jewish people were inferior people and they were responsible for killing Jesus of Nazareth.
