    It was an answer to a post suggesting you get your friends to vote and to make sure they do it. The fact that you need to "get them" to vote presupposes they had no interest in the first place.

    True, but the point was that getting people who have no interest to vote is nothing more than an attempt to get more votes in your column. If a friend is known for having opposing views, that's the one you would leave alone, right?

    I was thinking, the best thing about the Trump presidency for me personally is that he pissed me off so much, I needed to find an outlet to express that...

    In political terms, Trump won the Power Ball and Mega Millions and never could grasp his uncanny luck on that and his ego outgrew and overran his id.

    I think "make sure to vote" is a code phrase meaning make sure to vote more than once, i.e., vote early and vote often.
