Um... Well, first off, I blame the current administration for the inflation, which makes sense in light of the gross and completely unnecessary additional round of free money for everyone, the 'bipartisan' infrastructure plan, the efforts to cripple the petroleum industry, and his further attempts to continue the pandemic levels of spending, and then some, in the form of 'Build Back Bankrupt' and other spending wishlists. In prior genuine emergencies like WWII, spending went up massively, but after it was over, it went back down, which has not and will not happen this time, sadly. Now, as for 2020, I think we were facing a potentially catastrophic and dare I say it, possible extinction level event, so I can understand spending like a drunken sailor. That doesn't mean I like it, but I understand it, just as I understand why spending went up so much in WWII. However, in many ways that spending was simply replacing money that had been destroyed due to stock losses, business shutterings, and so forth, so it's effects were limited from an inflationary perspective. However, unlike after WWII when we actually cut our spending once it was over, Biden just doubled down and made the problem even worse!! I'd bet a lot of those 81 million people question their own judgement every time they go shopping!
If state and local police need technology for their work they can get it from the private sector where the FBI gets it. now. Agreed if we can't do the right thing and close it down. We need more competent management everywhere in federal government. It is a disaster.
