So why aren't you doing something about it instead of complaining and wishing other people would do it?

Do you believe Mighty Mouse really flies? If you believe that you are merely a victim of chance....you might as well. I am glad you find a "dirt nap" to your liking Everything you get beyond that will just be a bonus. I do not share to offend. I have not heard of anyone taking Pandora seriously. I do know of millions who do tae Jesus Christ very seriously. I do not know of anyone ever laying down their life for their belief in Pandora. Your analogy is really pretty silly.

I am not an expert on tongues. I do no I have been compelled a time or two to pray in words beyond explanation. It is a very uplifting experience when overwhelmed by circumstance. It was not to show of how "spiritual" I am. If you don't expect to hear from God, or you don't long to see His miracles, you will not. There are those of us that see miracles everyday and we are thankful for them. We see miracles in a newborn baby or a brilliant sunset for starters. We give thanks and God shows us more. The scripture says, "without faith, it is impossible to be pleasing to God." Billy Graham put it so much better than I can.

Because God does not act in ways that you would.....it does not make sense to write Him off. "His ways are higher than our ways". It is obvious in the scheme of things.

It was. They wrote a whole fairy tale about it and even made a thousand movies about it. They filled the world with churches dedicated to keeping the fairy tale alive. Millions of people have gotten rich from it.

The ear was in the area in the era until the bear reared and seared it on a spear and ate it with pears.

If there were no God, there would be no order, no laws, no gravity, no time, no creation.

I am open to the possibility of what man might call God, because I cannot make myself believe the universe's creation did not involve some higher intelligence. Throwing dice and chance, randomness does not appeal to me, in a most natural sense. Perhaps Occam's razor has something to do with it.

Yet if this Intelligence exists, it is far beyond the ability of our brains to ever understand it, and so it is not anthropomorphic in nature. Our ideas about it must be necessarily false. Like an ant understanding a modern computer.

Did you continye your quest for the truth and knowledge or just stop when you found something that seemingly fit your agenda?

I think it is simple. Children need Santa Claus to believe in and adults need a guide to believe in
God gets all the credit and none of the blame. When there is an earthquake he will supposedly watch thousands die in agony but if one person survives he gets the credit
God is either not omnipotent...or a sadist

Religious people condemn the sins they don’t commit and forgive those they do.

In your opinion. No proof provided. As there is no god and these things still exist, you are proven wrong.

Continue on though, your beliefs mean nothing to anyone but you.

We seem to be in some agreement then. I’ve personally chosen not to let someone define my spirituality for me, and though I’m a very spiritual person, I also appreciate empirical reality. Like a sponge, I’ve absorbed many different religions over the years, along with any philosophy I find. In a spiritual sense I take what I find to be true and profound, and discard the waste. Though you must always be privy to truth contradicting your personal ego, these are often endless struggles and create an understanding for how simplified faith will work for some.

They obviously mean something to you or wouldn't be here posting. You have no proof of the origin of life, yet here we are.

You seem to be suffering from thinking that people say the exact opposite of what they mean.

Since you appreciate this type of response, you must believe that all religion is false and there is no god, as you claim to believe fervently in both.

Nice of you to admit that you are just spouting nonsense to cover your lack of belief.

All religion is false and there is a God. But they're not completely false, some more than others. When did I ever claim to believe in religion? You haven't a clue as to how life began - and claim God doesn't exist - no proof provided. You can't disprove nor can we prove. You have your faith that He doesn't exist and I have mine that He does.
Think outside the box. IMO God isn't a person sitting on a throne dictating every little bit while listening to the incessant prayers that rain down on his ears, insisting that we worship Him. Yes, we can be spiritual beings without religion. Why is that so hard to believe?

We can do as you promote, but why? The basic claim is that this gawd is a personal gawd which is clearly false. Look around and try to find evidence of this gawdly creature. You have already admitted that you can't.

I think we'd get a lot further if we stopped talking about 'belief' and spent more thoughts on likelihood.
