Why is the media ignoring two black teens allegedly burning a white guy to death?

I wonder if that is because the FBI has identified white supremacists/domestic terrorists as our biggest threat. As opposed to......you know.......black teenagers lighting middle aged white men on fire.

The thread is about the claim that the media (or the part of it you dislike) determines which crimes get attention based on the skin colours of the people involved. The problem is that you chose to give a specific crime attention based on the skin colours of the people involved. If you hadn't mentioned the skin colour of the suspects, the question would still be valid but all of the other possible reasons and factors behind crimes receiving national (and international) attention wouldn't have been implicitly pushed aside.

 

Yes, the KKK was awful. But also a long time ago, you would think by now fair reporting would exist. It probably would if the news wasn't supported by ad clicks, hence the need to make crazy and controversial head lines.

 

There's nothing unusual about a guy getting murdered, alas. What is there to the story to make it news?

I believe you would like every crime that a black person commits against a white to be labeled racist and prompted in all media the same as FOX does. I get that. Everyone in the thread gets that. Is there anything else you have to say? I think I covered all you bring to the thread in this post.

My main post in this thread is each agency caters to their viewers/listeners/readers.
I still stand by that. So they write stories that pertain to their audience. Are you surprised by that?

My 1st post in this thread is about how media caters to their audience.
They are in the media business to make money. So they cater stories that are pertinent to their audience in hopes of attracting the most people as possible. The more views/clicks etc they get, the more they charge for advertising, the more money they make.
And money is what they seek.

The skin colour is often the difference between what gets covered and what doesn't! So how the hell can this story be used as an example of that without mentioning the skin colour?
