TODAY we have doctors who believe an abortion is important for health reasons, but could well be thrown in jail if they actually take that action. For example, we have the cases of barely teenage girls needing abortions for the obvious health reasons, yet the state legislature denies that medical care. The result is that in order to carry out proper medicine, it is necessary to go to other states where the medical advice can be implemented. --- You need to stop trying to pretend you know medicine better than doctors do.

You need to stop pretending abortion is a medical issue.at least 90% of the time negative medical issues are not in play! 90+ % of the time abortions are purely for the convenience of the mother.

Having government block proven healthcare solutions, including those accepted by medicine as valid standards of care, is grossly immoral and far, far outside the role of government. That article points out that less than 1% of abortions can be considered late term. And, that number includes abortions due to detection of severe defects in the fetus, the woman's health, etc. Abortions that NOBODY should be opposing on any grounds. They don't want the inconvenience of financial loss, medical bills, career and educational set backs, possible job loss and physical damage and pain and possible death !
