I was going to say that he is projecting his own insecurities on everyone around him concerning firearms and his ability to make rational choices in a high stress environment.

 

No one could claim to be able to do this shot---shooting thru a windshield (that deflects bullets) while the target is bobbing around behind it shooting back. He could only be stopped instantly with a shot to the very small area of the "fatal T" or lower brain or upper spinal collum. Ask any expert.

Military are different in that they are in a military combat situation where as a rule (but not all the time) civilians are not in the mix. In the civilian world civilians are usually present in most situations and the possiblilty of them being struck by live rounds accidentally are possible.

Why the change?? What's the usual accurate range of the side arm they use now compared to 45 years ago?? So, come on with your answers, we are all waiting with baited breath.

 

Please tell me how you can have a reasonable discussion on a subject someone knows nothing about. I WAS a Reserve police officer for 3 years, went through the same training regular officers go through, I have 3 son-in-laws with over 50 years experience between them and you want to sit there and tell me what they should or shouldn't be able to do??? You have less than no knowledge of weapons or how the function. You have no knowledge of what police training is. You sit there like a Monday morning quarterback and have never played the in the big leagues in your life.

 

And you don't think the police make yearly studies and change their tactics and weapons to match???
