Why would you Oppose a wall on our Border? Lets find out.

I am not currently flying but am a pilot. I appreciate your systems. And it shows we have intelligent hard working people working to secure this country. I appreciate what you do for us and encourage you to post more, not less. Thank you for what you do for all of us. Of all the forums I have ever participated in, once you get a thick hide to the left here, things smooth out and many of us appreciate your work.

 

The DEA doesn't work border security but they use reported statistics to provide you with an accounting of events. If you have 90% of drug arrest being made at a port of entry, thats what they report. If you have a thousand drug mules a day coming across an unsupported or unprotected border area that are not arrested then what good is the report on drug trafficking arrest only? It doesn't tell you anything other than where most arrest are made and of course the most arrest will ALWAYS be at a port of entry.

It would be like saying 90% of our cocaine coming into the US were by boat because thats were the arrest were being made forgetting about the billions of tons coming in drug planes.

If you ask a Border Patrol agent where the drugs are coming from he/she will tell you only a fraction of actual drugs coming into our southern border are going through a port of entry.

 

I would love having the link to that 24 page report. Cutting & paste parts of it is not satisfactory as it seems post #53 amounts to.

 

Wrong. Drugs get smuggled in thru ports and open areas.

There are so many agencies in this government that it is a jig saw puzzle just to get enough data to try to form an intelligent view and then speak an opinion. I personally am trying to find that 24 page report being referred to here.

 

Nope - didn't vote for Trump. But you'd assume incorrectly that I hadn't thought about border security. It IS a major issue, and should be taken seriously. Unfortunately, I do not agree that a wall is a 'serious' solution.

I respect your right to support a wall, and hope you will respect my right not to...

 

The vast majority of the drugs that come into the US crosses at the 80 US border crossings.

So how would a 2,200 mile wall end all the drugs crossing today?

This is not some DNC MSM house organ commentary.

 

I learned to get that thick hide working with our Government. lol. All we do is provide technology and intel to border patrol. They are the real heros. I am in the rear with the gear. But you get to know these guys and feel their pain. For example, their radios are so old they only have about a 3 mile range. What they do down there is dangerous hard work and I only hope America wakes up.

These Liberal idiots suck at the tit of Pelosi and Schumer and will use any excuse to keep our borders unsecured. Anyone who has seen a body carved up by MS-13 would never fault Trump or his supporters for building a barrier. They thrive on talking points and not actual data like walls don't work or we need more drones. I love when they state walls are thousand year old technology but forget they drive a car with wheels.

I hope Trump holds out to get this started properly but the crazy part is, just a few years ago every Democrat was screaming for a wall (or barrier) and now it has become a white nationalist thing? People need to grow up and face the reality. These Liberal children are clueless are only against a wall because Trump wants it.

 

So..........faced with data that you don't like your fallback position, as it almost always is when Trumpette's are faced with data that doesn't fit the narrative they are promoting..........is to say truth isn't truth........don't believe what you see and hear..........facts aren't knowable things...........the government is too incompetent to know what they're talking about........etc., etc., etc.

 

Complete and total waste of taxpayers money,will not keep out determined people and certainly won't keep out drugs.

 

I have a retired son in law that was a city cop for San Mateo, CA. I asked him why not arrest the Mexicans and he said department orders were to not arrest them as they were Federal problems. CA is nuts and i live here and resent the sanctuary provided to illegal aliens. i resent them called undocumented.

If law enforcement called bank robbers unregistered owners of money, we would get angry. I am angry at the way Democrats change words to mean other things.
