The ONLY Republican candidate who has a shot at beating Obama is Romney. Unfortunately, the right doesn't see this. They have my pity.

Well,,,yes Romney has the independents,,,agreed. However,,if you noticed Gingrich grows on people,,and I believe the General public will feel the same as time goes by. He is a very commanding type of person, smart, witty, and most Presidential.
The public is not sure about Obama anymore, the polls show this. When the smoke clears and if Gingrich is the nominee he will catch fire with them as well...
There is just no comparison between the two,,,Obama is a personality, Gingrich is a Statesman...

Your pity is more valuable than your opinion.

Even if Obama does manage to win re-election, altho history isn't on his side, as long as Republicans retain control of the House, and maybe win control of the Senate, they can stop his destructive policies.

Advisor Flounder :dog: now that all this automaticlly automated equipment has NOT made me a Guru , yet ....

Anybody can get tongue-tied , or have a brain-fart , it happens , look at all the great 'Bush-isms' there are . . . but you don't see Obama making those type gaffes.

Where Obama has it over Newt is that under hot lights Newts face sweats badly ,,, he keeps a sweat hanky handy , keeps wiping his face ,,, it makes him look nervous ,,, meanwhile , there's Obama in a tailored silk suit ,,, cool as a cucumber ,,, Presidential ....

and he'll make Newt or Romney or Perry look like a used car salesman trying to sell the American voter another broke-down GOP Edsel of failed GOP trickle down ideas ... :frustrated:

but hey , y'all can always just say NO ,,, it's what the GOP has said for the past 3 years ...

Obama is a great campaigner, but he can't govern. He isn't able to persuade or lead. He has no plan to save the country. Things aren't going to magically get better.

That is rumor mongering at it's highest degree.

The Democrats must be incredibly frightened to level such baseless garbage and spread the untruth about hate.

Absurd. You confuse intense passion for one's country within ideological lines as hatred...deliberately.

:bump: Albert Di Salvo no one can govern without the consent of the governed , and perhaps that's been President Obama's nesmisis ...

I am sometimes dismayed but always amazed when I hear Republicans bewail the 3 yrs of the Obama Presidency ,,,while at the same time neither House can agree on what time it is ... much less help govern the country :frustrated:

yet they conveniently forget what the mood was in the US the last term of the Bush Jr. Presidency ... if you're suggesting that the Party of No has the answers ,,, then let's hear them .

From where I sit , the 'Party of No' has no answers .

    4 more for Obama in 2012 . :)

The Republicans can't save America. They can only slow its fall.

    What answers does Obama have?

He's already proven he can prevent a Great Depression. But there are more important issues to address.

He's proven he can't get fourteen million unemployed people back to work. He's proven he can't help ten million underemployed people find full time work. He's proven he can't help the six million people who have become discouraged and stopped looking for work. For them this is a Depression.

He can't balance the budget. He hasn't unified the country. He's appointed crony capitalists to his cabinet and throughout his administration. The existing order is dying. What was will never be again, and no preparation is being made for what might be. But Obama knows how to campaign.

Let's correct your misinformation. It was the Democrats in the South that resisted integration and voted against Civil Rights.

The hatred comes from the Left, they hate anyone that disagrees with their myopic views.

Besides, Obama ain't got a chance to be re-elected.

The ONLY Democrat candidate who has a shot at not beating Obama is Obama. Unfortunately, the left sees this.

The more the left say that, the more I doubt it. Not saying that Gingrich is the best choice (probably isn't), but Romney certainly isn't.
