Honestly I think there is no alternative, as long as we let them stay they will never stop coming.

Was that the kind of question asked by aboriginal people in the North American land mass when Europeans arrived and decided to take over the place by force?

But, illegal aliens and 'asylum' fraudsters will keep on coming, in larger and larger numbers as long as radical America-hating, 'woke' Democrats are in power! And many 'fat-cat' Republicans aren't any better. Why not? Because many of them, in many different areas of business, enjoy getting hard-working cheap labor that doesn't dare complain about anything for fear of getting deported.

That said, Democrats and 'migration advocacy groups' are the primary enablers. This whole thing about illegal aliens got started after the Mexican Revolution over a hundred years ago, and then shifted into high gear during WWII, when America needed large numbers of people to do menial agricultural work. Then, in the '60's, during the Democrat set-up of new welfare programs, Mexicans were quick to take advantage of the same 'gravy-train' that they saw Democrats serving up to Blacks and poor Whites. Fast-forward to Obama, and now Joe Biden, and what have we got? Virtually OPEN borders... and it will only get far worse!

So, who will actually stop it? Who will get these illegal aliens and 'asylum' fraudsters out of our country? nobody will.... ¡Mucha suerte!

We should have mass deportations after this debacle, but it’s not going to happen. An army of ACLU lawyers were come to the aid of the illegals and the issue will be tied up in the courts until the illegals die of old age. Even if the Republicans win in 2024, the party will be divided on what to do with them. If the Republicans are voted out in future elections, the Democrats will reverse whatever progress has been made.

The illegals are here forever. The only question is how long will it take all of them to get to vote. If the Democrats are in change, most all of them will be voting by 2028. In some states, they will be voting in 2024 although it won’t be strictly legal.

Those "aboriginal people" did not have a country. They had tribes.

The fall back position is simply enforcing federal immigration law. Who can argue with "we are all equal under the law", and "no one is above the law" and all that jazz.
I expect an EO from the senile one making all illegals instant citizens and instant voters and by the time the courts rule "he can't do that" it will be too late.

An interesting question, and since you asked it as you did, I assume you agree that the Indians would have been better off if they had the political unity and military might to push the Europeans back out of the Western Hemisphere. Since they didn't, they lost their land, culture, and their numbers are a tiny fraction of what they were in the pre-Columbian era.

So I guess to the thread question, "will we eventually have to bite the bullet and forcibly repatriate illegal immigrants?

    You would vote yes, correct?

I'm reminded of one of my favorite 'old-but-true' sayings:

Democrat officials sure as hell won't do anything about it because their ultimate goal is to grant them all amnesty and have them voting Democrat.

My beef with the Indians and these stupid examples is they seem to think that this continent would have been ignored by the rest of the world and these Stone Age tribes would have lived happily ever after skipping along through the pristine forest romping with Bambi and butterflies.

As I read your post :above:, I was struck also by how many delusional people think that Sub-Saharan AFRICA would have remained some kind of Stone Age (or Bronze Age) 'paradise', complete with pristine jungles, pastoral savannahs, and happy animals -- if it hadn't been for 'evil' European Whites! :cynic:

No, for better or worse (depending on one's point of view), throughout history areas like North America and Sub-Saharan Africa have attracted adventurers, explorers, and entrepreneurs from far more advanced civilizations. It is not in the dynamic nature of intelligence and inquisitiveness in mankind to simply hit a 'plateau' of civilization and then to stagnate!

The old mantra, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" can be useful for, say, a century or two, but for thousands of years?!

I think there is an argument to be made that Aboriginal inhabitants of the North American landmass were just a 'civilised' as anywhere else.
Maybe it is all about the definition of 'civilised'.
Perhaps 'powerful' and 'able to steal and destroy' would be a better way of describing European interlopers than 'civilised'.

The Bush family, RINO Republicans have those attributes, but the vast majority of the lunch bucket, rank and file Republicans do not.

I guess all of the White folks should have stayed in Europe, the Black folks in Africa, the red folks in North and South America and the yellow folks in Asia. Anyone who crossed the line would shot, beheaded or otherwise disposed of. Denying exploration and settlement of various parts of the world would have been an exercise in futility.

Funny, I’ve read where the Aztecs, who were among the most advanced Native Americans, practiced human sacrifice. That doesn’t sound too civilized to me.

Depends what you mean by 'advanced'?
Se also how you define 'civilized'.

I've read that one reform, ending nation rape (the penetrating of our border without consent), would drive labor wages up some 9%. Who doesn't want a 9% pay raise?

Exploration and settlement you call it, how about theft and slaughter?
