Unfortunately, this is breaking news, I literally within the past 5 minutes saw a story on my local news about it, and they don't have a story on their website about it. Yet, I hope.

But look around, watch your local news, check news sites, it's out there somewhere and maybe someone reading this can find it.

But the point is that the kind of gun(s), if any, that he had were irrelevant to the outcome of this case, as I have been begging you single issue (which would be ban AR-15s) people to realize is that this is not a single solution problem. Just like the Texas case, had that door only been locked, had there actually been an armed guard as the initial reports said, but turned out to be wrong, and if that idiot cop hadn't ordered everyone to stand down, it could have ended very differently.

    Yes, a .223 round will do really bad things to a 9-year-old's body, but then so will a .22lr, a .380, a 9mm, a 10mm, a 7.62mm, a 300 Blackout, a 30-06 and maybe even a high-powered pellet gun.

This story probably won't have much publicity, because the safety systems in place worked and the only dead person is the bad guy. Now, if it turns out it was a white guy with an AR-15 it might get a little more coverage, but there's really not enough blood in this story to excite the press or dems. It also proves that a multi-faceted safety and security plan can, will, and does work, without the necessity of banning anything, which damn sure doesn't fit the agenda.

    Exactly.

A lunatic in a locked room with a bunch of 10 year olds could have a butter knife and still kill all of them.

Will see if I can find more.

Do you have a link to the local news story?

Not as of this moment. But it was FOX 13 Tampa Bay (fox13news.com) of you wanna keep an eye on it. I'm gonna go fly my F/A-18 for awhile, so I won't be checking news or anything.

So what? Nobody is trying to make guns less dangerous, that's impossible unless you can invent a whole new rulebook when it comes to physics.

The point is that banning a particular kind of weapon won't do anything to solve the mass shooter problem unless other steps are taken, too. Or, rather, it can be dealt with without banning anything, with just a few simple and easy steps. What the shooter in this instance had didn't help him, because AR-15s aren't magic. They're just rifles, and relatively underpowered ones at that.

Security at schools should not be needed? You're living in fantasyland. Then again, you also believe in magic rifles, so...

No but the NRA possibly was

look the NRA was caught on tape telling Australian politicians how to change public opinion by getting a sympathetic journalist to write stories about how guns were used to save lives. They even ghost wrote many. This smells like one of those stories

People that carry dead cats around in bags and threaten to rape and kill people typically have their rights removed via due process.

Like Ukraine, most countries in Africa, Israel.

Even Japan has armed teachers with weapons designed to stop knife attacks, and have hardened their schools and hired guards.

Maybe you could lock down the population to their homes using the covid facial recognition during school hours.

Riiiight. Because if a knife is dangerous that means a gun isn't.
