WE require people that drive on our streets and highways to learn the rules of the road and minimum driving skills then demonstrate the assimilation of that knowledge through testing and a practical driving test; BEFORE we allow them on the road by themselves. We do nothing to ensure people buying a gun have any idea how it works, how to care for it, how to load it or unload it or handle it safely by any measure. NOTHING!

 

No you don't. People enter the country illegally all the time that drive without licenses.

We don't require people who buy tylenol, which kills more people every year than AR15's, get training either.

We don't require chainsaw training, meat slicer training or ladder training either.
