I couldn't answer your poll because you failed to have the option: DISASTROUS results for America and it's long term future...

I went with "Worse" but I do believe that the Elite who are capable of essentially controlling the media to the point where they could threaten Mr. Ronald Reagan that he either accept George H. W. Bush as his V. P. or they will make him UNELECTABLE....... they would have been happier with Hillary......

I think that matters would have been a LOT WORSE under Hillary for ordinary people..... especially ordinary Christians........ because she regarded ordinary people as actually being quite DEPLORABLE....... I really think that she spoke her mind rather openly with that comment.

Yup................... I actually was thinking pretty much along that line myself I have to admit!

I believe that in spite of his many, many, many, many, many flaws..... the time is coming when President Obama will be considered to be something of a heroic figure........ at least for serving America and the world by stopping Hillary back in 2008............. not to mention the fact that he probably handled the debt crisis of 2009 better than McCain and Palin probably would have done?!

President Obama delayed and delayed, Iridium System Mark of the Beast

Listen to this commentary on the SOTU and see if you don't at least partly agree with the speaker?

I read that Hasbro who manufactures Play-Dough used for TDS therapy were moving their production line in China back to the good old USA.

Well I must admit I didn't think there'd be such a massive condemnation of Hilary.

As far as I read somewhere, they and many other shift away from China due to the trade war and the punitative tariffs ... but go then to other "low cost cheap countries" like Vietnam, Mexico and India.

Think about this. We all saw just how deathly afraid of Hillary the brass at the FBI and DOJ were. She stared them down and they cowered in fear. They just knew she was going to be president and she has a long history of destroying who she thinks is her enemies. Imagine her with as one poster said a "weaponized" FBI. Can you say dictator?

I believe to my core that Hillary is pure evil. The entire world would have suffered under her boot. And if you think Trump is a puppet of Putin then Hillary is Putin's bottom bitch. We not only dodged a bullet keeping her out of office, but maybe dodged a bomb.

Well, if Hillary had won, at least the SCOTUS wouldn't be packed with Mindless Drone Knee-jerk Conservative Activist Judges.

I don't adore Trump, I think he's an idiot but when you say things like I realise why people voted for him, you epitomise the Bill Mahler effect.

I don't think there would have been much more than status quo if Hillary had won. But, I think, the election of Trump will dissuade many 'would be' politicians from Hollywood to aspire to POTUS. A good thing. It has been a failed experiment in the notion that the country needed to be led by a 'business mind'.

What then, do you think, makes the ideal qualification for POTUS?

we've all been witness to decades of attorney politicians (they suck, the two 'best' examples of bad attorney types, clinton & obama)... trump, well i don't particularly like him on a personal level but i'm ok with his 'style' (people don't understand his 'talk' being 'talk', most outsiders of ny would never understand that, but i digress), i like straight forward, monotone, to the point & tell it like it is with no freagin sugarcoating (this being the numero uno reason that people hate him) (pc is for the weak of mind)...

all 3 know 'how to get the job done', the first two by scouring the legalities & 'penning' hundreds of eo's to skirt the system (bad idea), the other(trump) never got to implement most because of blockades of 'attorney' types in congress, many of those ideas would have 'panned out' if given the chance & were actually inline non-partisan...

it would have been good to see what would have become of it all, but no chance on that, is there... at least we got to 'see' the effects of obama/clinton, some we learned from, some we didn't, but that is supposed to be the process... it's disconcerting that so many hate the process as well (prolly they don't truly understand/comprehend it ???) they seem to prefer being 'smiled' at politely, while being banged in the booty...

all that said, the common denominator has been 'arrogance', maybe it's time to try a 'regular joe', because 'educated & successful' hasn't worked out so well lately... we missed the boat this past midterm because mostly attorney types made it in, again...

Had HRC won, we'd be living in a dystopian nightmare even science fiction writers could not imagine.

We're only 2 years into it and he's doing great. In 6 years we'll know whether it was a failed experiment.

I'm a fan of straight talk as well. Its a quality that I admire in personal relationships and look for them in politics and business. But I believe that politics is a difficult game - and there needs to be experience within the system in order to play it effectively. A 'regular joe' would run into the same problems Trump has through a lack of understanding about national and international politics. The only way that it could truly work is for a newcomer to surround himself with solid, experienced and highly regarded people who would provide guidance. And the secret to that working is having the POTUS respect and listen to the guidance.
