BTW, I am not outlining this as the choices for America. Although it seems this is the direction we are leaning, is having to make this choice.

But in general, if you had to choose, with no bearing on whats happening in America at this time. Which would you choose and why?

 

No surprise here. I chose liberal socialism.

I hate and despise religion. Especially organized religion. Any conservative fasicst country will have religion frony and center generall. In America this would obviously be Christianity, which I despise. I pretty much despise all religion though, and the people who push them.

any free society impo needs to be sufficiantly socially liberal. To enforce a conservative ideology on people is by definition, limiting their freedom.

where is a liberal society gives you the personal choice to live a conservative lifestyle, while affording those who dont want to a path forward.

No one knows what you mean by those terms since all four of those words have an "eyes of the beholder" quality.

 

In theory (THEORY) a conservative, fascist country would be unified, focused, purposeful, and law-abiding. From its population, it would draw the very best the country has in order to fill its ranks involving all professions, irrespective of race or cultural background. And although it would be very stern in its application of 'crime-and-punishment' justice, it would adhere to the letter of the law. But, "theories" often fail, and fascism always seems to get derailed into the worse kinds of governmental nightmares imaginable!

Socialism? Much the same, actually, except that it doesn't even start off being "good" in the first place. Any form of government that rewards people for doing nothing but being docile, unreasoning, unproductive morons is doomed to failure from the first moment.

So, which is better? There were no other choices in this thread, so... flip a coin.

the only people who whine about that these days tend to be those who complain that the religious call their lifestyles "sinful". No one is actually being persecuted for their hedonistic or promiscuous lifestyles.
