The problem is that were were attributing your - obviously limited - personal experience over all pot smokers. This is like a person having a Fat person do some bad thing and attributing that bad thing to all fat people. This is the fallacy you are committing.

I'm with you regarding cigarette smoking. Such a vile disgusting habit. I have no idea why anyone would ever try smoking. In the past I have been asked how I wasn't curious to ever try smoking. What was I supposed to be curious about? Was I supposed to be curious what it would be like to smell like a dirty ashtray? Was I supposed to be curious what it would be like to get lung cancer? Emphysema? Heart disease? Seriously....what exactly about smoking was I supposed to be curious about?

 

I said pot smoking is repulsive to me and I explained (in part) why that is.

Where you went wrong was inferring that that your personal experience extended to all pot smokers and committing the generalization fallacy.
