Have you done your "So what? Big deal....EVERYBODY KNEW that Trump was going to lose Wisconsin" post for today, yet?

The link I gave you :

    http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-2016/delegate-targets/

Trump down 60 delegates now to be on course to get to 1237.

    He has 758 delegates
    Needing 469.

    800 delegates left.

He needs about 60% of all the seats still left in every state.

Now in states like New York he will probably get those and perhaps even more, but others he will have a hard time getting 50%.

    I'll do it now. :)

So what? Big deal....EVERYBODY KNEW that Trump was going to lose Wisconsin

It has no effect on the fact he can still get 1237, and is predicted to sweep the eastern states next.

    53% in New York

    Cruz 19%

    :)

It's going to be a contested convention for the GOP....

and the Establishment will pull out every trick in the book to deny Trump the Nomination and either give it to Cruz or even Kasich.*

*(I don't buy the "white knight riding in" theory...Paul Ryan, etc....it'll have to be Cruz or Kasich).

They'd never give it to Cruz.

Trump and the desperate Cruz make a deal, it's all over. Bye bye establishment. :)

This is what's so frustrating about it all. Rubio would've beaten her. Kasich would beat her. Even Mitt Romney would've beaten her if he ran again. The Republicans are like a sports team where the players are so pissed off at each other they've forgotten to work together and win the game. Plenty of blame to go around, too: the vitriol coming from talking heads on TV and radio, the obstructionism in Congress, the common citizens who stoke fear of non-white people...

I actually want Trump to win the nomination, too; but only so he can be thoroughly defeated in November and the Republicans who saw it coming can take their party back.

Trump and Cruz don't get to decide who gets the nomination. The GOP establishment does. I see Ryan pulling a White Knight move.

It is sad to see people so tied to a party. I am glad I am an independent but then that means I look at the actual candidates and have to actually think. Thinking is easy for me but I guess not thinking is better for some folks. People who actually think about each candidate see what terrible candidates they all are.

Republicans have had a Cincinnatus fantasy going on for years now--daydreaming for a time when a reluctant leader will come in and take up the mantle out of a sense of duty rather than ambition. Ryan's latest talks about not wanting to run may be playing into that fantasy.

Why should Cruz cut a deal with Trump to be Vice-President...

when he can cut a deal with Kasich and/or Rubio....and be President?

    - - - Updated - - -

60% of the GOP has voted against Trump.

Trick? Just the rules if trump doesn't make it on the first vote, he has little chance of winning.

More then enough, do you think the vast mayority of the establishment (what the most of these delegates are) will vote for trump beyond the first vote if they don't have to?

Thunderdome wasn't in Mad Max 2.

Just used the word "trick" to be generous to the Trumpsters....who would consider "following the Rules" to be a "trick" or a "cheat"

    :)

    - - - Updated - - -

You're right....always get that confused. Technically "Mad Max" was "Road Warrior-Two"...and "Thunderdome" would be "technically" "Road Warrior-THREE."

    My bad.

    Still.....the analogy holds. :)

    Obviously.

Cruz has no incentive to "cut a deal" with anyone, unless the result is a Cruz Presidential nom.

Some people just can't seem to grasp that simple concept.

Sundance merely trying to "unify the Party"...but keep Trump at the top of the ticket.

Cruz is ambitious and if he can use the Rules to take the Top Slot and cut out Trump entirely...he'll do it. Offering Veep to Kasich and maybe fund-raising and "Presidential support" to Rubio for a Rubio run at Governor of Florida (setting up Rubio for a later Presidential run in the 2020s).

Trump left sitting on the sidelines....as Ted, John, and Marco lock up the Nomination, with Ted as as the Presidential Nominee....not Veep.

So you are now relying on fortune telling and guesswork? LOL!

    - - - Updated - - -

So you know these delegates personally? I do not think you do so you are once again relying on media propaganda.

I know one thing about the delegates.....a lot of them are being picked by State Chairmen....and those State Chairmen are beholden to Reince Priebus and the GOP Establishment.

and once the 2nd ballot is over?....they can vote for WHOEVER they want....or whoever they are TOLD to want. :)

Guesswork? No simple numbers , perhaps numbers you don't like seeing they show trump not getting the nomination.

So you actually think people will vote for trump? why every poll shows him toxic to the party and he has zero chance of winning.

Update....this is not the year 1989, AS.

    - - - Updated - - -

If the military keeps Trump hands off the nukes...and Congress keeps him in check....it wouldn't be bad, since he'd be a national embarrassment to the GOP as President...

and destroy the Party's image and credibility for 100 years. :)
